50 Cent Sends J. Cole Urgent Message After Kendrick Lamar Apology

50 Cent has publicly reached out to J. Cole after he apologized for dissing Kendrick Lamar — and according to Fif, it’s a matter of urgency.

News reached the G-Unit general on Monday (April 8) about Cole’s controversial apology to Kendrick live on stage at Dreamville Festival, and he did not appear to be happy at the idea of another rapper backing down from a feud.

Alongside a screenshot of the North Carolina native’s comments, 50 wrote on Instagram: “WTF how I miss this, @realcoleworld call my phone [phone emoji] right now!”

    See his post below.

It is not currently known if the two have actually talked, but there has been much online chatter about what 50 Cent would make of J. Cole’s olive branch given his own history of rap beef with the likes of Ja Rule, The Game, Diddy and Rick Ross.

One fan wrote in a viral post on X: “50 Cent didn’t snatch Ja Rule’s chain, jump Gunplay, have a shootout with Game in front of Hot 97, leave dead rats at Jimmy Henchmen’s door step, black Fredro Star’s eye, & brought Rick Ross kids shopping with Floyd for J Cole to apologize to Kendrick for a mid diss track.”

In his much talked about apology, Cole walked back his shots at Kendrick Lamar on “7 Minute Drill,” the closing track from his surprise new mixtape Might Delete Later.

“I was conflicted because: one, I know my heart and I know how I feel about my peers. These two n-ggas that I just been blessed to even stand beside in this game, let alone chase they greatness,” he said, referring to his “Big Three” contemporaries K. Dot and Drake.

“So I felt conflicted ’cause I’m like, bruh, I don’t even feel no way. But the world wanna see blood. I don’t know if y’all can feel that, but the world wanna see blood.”

Cole went on to praise Kendrick, saying: “That shit disrupts my fucking peace. So what I want to say right here tonight is in the midst of me doing that, trying to find a little angle and downplay this n-gga’s fucking catalog and his greatness, I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherfuckers to ever touch a fucking microphone? Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I.”

He continued: “I just want to come up here and publicly be like, bruh, that was the lamest, goofiest shit. I say all that to say it made me feel like 10 years ago when I was moving incorrectly. And I pray that God will line me back up on my purpose and on my path. I pray that my n-gga really didn’t feel no way and if he did, my n-gga, I got my chin out. Take your best shot. I’ma take that shit on the chin, boy. Do what you do.”

Cole also said he plans to remove “7 Minute Drill” from streaming services but the song remains available on Spotify and Apple Music as of this writing.

The track came in response to Kendrick’s blistering verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” on which he took aim at both Drake and Cole.

      1. I don’t see why people feel like they gotta beef they both great at what they do they both in there own lane you don’t see curry Lebron or kd beefing they compete it’s a difference they should be competing for the number 1 spot but not beef.

    1. Kendrick got the whole rap industry shook. Somebody needs to battle Kendrick to set the record straight. Right now he is #1 and it isn’t even close. J Cole lost so much respect in this rap game. Damn

    2. Poor, unenlightened, blood thirsty minions all over these comments smh For every one of ya’ll talking bout J Cole career is over, he’s made another two fans out of sheer respect for his leadership and vision to elevate the game. Hip-hop fans are growing up, evolving our minds and elevating our consciousness. It’s about damn time artists do the same.

    3. Imma be real, if you really care that much about watching dumb niccas beef about dumb nicca shit that’s not even important, you’re either fresh out of high school or no one loves you in your 30s+ because that’s beyond sad that you need industry forced beef to decide what artist you like or respect. Grow up and stop letting the industry and your dumb nicca friends who’ve achieved nothing with their lives, make your decisions for you.

    9. j Cole still cool but its only corny because he gotta know with him and Kendrick it would stay on wax. it’s only about trading some metaphors. j Cole probably backtracked because he actually liked those albums and thought it was a terrible setup. it’s like jay zee dissing Nas…you admired him as an emcee but now you frontin talking about one hot album every ten year average…it was written was flames and I am/nastradamus was SUPPOSED to be flames. and shits garbage what you tryna kick knowledge….fast forward Magna carta was invest in basquiat and warhols..and 444 was amass generational wealth…frontin on a diss record is as lame as not responding

    10. I can almost guarantee that all these negative comments regarding J Cole’s maturity are coming from little, immature-minded kids who, (1): still live at home with mommy, or daddy, (2): still get excited over recording high school bathroom fights, in hopes to go viral and, (3): have NO real goals, or promising future! 🤣
