50 Cent & Eminem Discuss “My Life” Song & Video

Earlier today (November 26), 50 Cent and Eminem released their newest collaboration, “My Life,” set to be 50’s latest single. The duo has already shot a video for the cut.

“The video is kind of abstract; it’s kind of metaphoric in a sense, like the paranoia of feeling like we’re being chased,” said Em on the set of the video shoot to MTV News. “Whether it’s true or not, it’s kind of how we feel. It’s kind of a metaphor for us running for our lives. Personal lives and from fame, everything that goes with the game.”

50 spoke on Street King Immortal, the album on which the cut is featured. “The album itself is more personal than the albums in the past Now this record, it’s allowed us to do different things creatively. I’ve been able to come out a few times, more than usual to come to Detroit and work with Em for this record.”

      1. word on the street u getting yo clit replaced my a dildo and yo asshole replaced with 3 holes nigga please cut the bullshit

    2. I felt “New Day” was going to be a HUGE hit, his first since “I Get Money”, but unfortunately Interscope doesn’t push it. Maybe because Alicia Keys used the original version in her latest album. As far as this song … not feeling it, lacks cohersion and sounds too sophisticated, somehow various elements of the song are don’t stick together for me. Street King Immortal is 50’s last chance to prove that he still relevant and can make hits. Even if music is just a hobby now for him, its about time to find his voice again, because since “The Massacre” he is struggling to come out with something remarkable.

      1. i believe he / she meant sophisticated in a pejorative way, like something is unnatural or mannered. like artists trying too hard to make a hit or something

      2. New Day was originally Dre’s and 50’s record for Detox. They sent the record to Alicia to do the hook and she did also a solo version of the song for herself which Swizz leaked before the official 50 Cent single was released.

    3. FMOT @DeeHavior Whatupdoe! This song is a straight HIT! Its a 50 & Eminem at a mature level. ITS STRAIGHT HEAT!! I mean its 2012 we’ve witnessed 50’s success before our very eyes, so his song content has got to switch up & show growth. Stop being TOLD whats HOT & check $hit out for yourself!
