Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather isn’t shy about showing off the wealth he’s accumulated as the result of his hard work.
As part of his Fourth Of July celebration, he posted an Instagram video spotlighting $1.8 million in cash, an Arnold Schwarzenegger watch and the world’s largest Chanel bag, which he says was a gift from the late Karl Lagerfeld.
“I was once told that ‘the loudest person in the room is the weakest person in the room,'” he wrote in the caption. “Well, that works for the individuals that’s doing something illegal. But in my case, I’m happy to flaunt my legal wealth and brag about being a black man that came from poverty, beat all odds and not give a fuck about what anybody thinks. Happy 4th, this is my independence! Now, let the fireworks begin!”
Naturally, it didn’t take long for 50 Cent to diss Mayweather. On Tuesday (July 9), the infamous Instagram troll shared an Instagram post of his own, clowning the Chanel bag. He referenced a line from the Lil Baby and Gunna song “Drip Too Hard” along with it.
“You can have the biggest Chanel in the store if you want it,” he wrote in the caption. “I don’t think Lil Baby was talking about this dumb shit you bought champ. LOL GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE! #lecheminduroi#bransoncognac Legendary stupid shit.”
At the start of “Drip Too Hard,” Lil Baby raps, “You can get the biggest Chanel bag in the store if you want it/I gave ’em the drip, they sucked it up, I got ’em on it.”
The song comes from the 2018 mixtape of the same name and was evidently provided the ammo Fiddy needed to target his longtime adversary.
