Set for a March 30 release on Def Jam, Wu Massacre will not only make its mark for its musical artistry, but for its visuals as well.
The album, helmed by Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, will come in one of three seperate album covers: one for Method Man, one for Ghostface, and one for Raekwon.
The album covers are illustrated by famed DC and Marvel Comics artist Chris Bachalo, and feature the three Shaolin emcees as super heroes of sorts. But Bachalo won’t be stopping there, as 300 randomly distributed albums will contain a rare pencil sketch print insert – 100 for each of the three rappers (though they won’t necessarily correspond: for example, a Method Man cover album may contain a Ghostface Killah sketch).
Recently, the Wu-Tang clan has released a series of critically and/or commercially well-received projects, with Raekwon releasing Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Part II, Method Man and Redman releasing Blackout! 2, and Ghostface Killah releasing The Wizard of Poetry.
Here is the Wu Massacre track listing, as previously reported:
1. “Criminology 2.5” featuring Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and Method Man, produced by BT.
2. “Mef vs. Chef” featuring Method Man and Raekwon, produced by Allah Mathematics.

ballin cant wait for this album to drop
shits gonna be dope. short but you know its gonna be all heaterz, no filler.
i’ve seen 4 covers…feelin’ all of them.
Hear Digem Tracks Productions (Gunshowers) on the new Meth Rae Ghost album entitled “Wu Massacre” coming March 30th 2010 on Island/Def Jam Records !!
shits gonna be wack
only 10 tracks
2 are remixes of older songs
featuring wack mc’s like trife and sun god
Get the fuck outta here. Trife probably had the most under-rated album of 09 and Sun God can spit his ass off. Better check Big Doe Rehab and get your mind right. And if you listened to Put it on the Line plus Theodore Unit’s 718, and still say Trife is wack, you just as full of shit as that statement you just made.
The album’s short because Def Jam rushed it. Not only that, look how much music Wu put out in 09. Not just music, but dope shit. We’ll be getting another Wu Massacre album and another flood of dope Wu shit.
trife’s dope. sun god (ghosts son) is nothin special
i kinda over reacted but what i mean is theres only 10 tracks I ONLY want to hear meth, ghost and rae
This is a smart marketing strategy and good business…in a climate where no one moves units anymore, offer some dope artwork to make people go and cop. That Miranda joint is pure flames…vintage Wu.
I know it gon be that heat wish it had at 13 tracks tho.
TOO SHORT! THE ONLY THING IS IF ITS 12 TRACKS AT LEAST MAKE THE TRACKS 4 MIN LONG. ALOT OF THEM ARE ONLY TWO AND A HALF TO THREE MIN LONG. IT ALMOST MAKE YOU WANNA NOTCOP IT BUT I STILL WILL LOL. MORE LIKE A MIX TAPE.
I think this will be like “The Rennaisance” by Q-Tip, short album but still a great one.
word, i alike the incentive to buy the hard copy. we need more shit like this. people used to buy records cuz there was so much album art they were practically posters. and before the internet studying the record cover was the only way to know anything about your favorite artists. now we know every time Wayne takes a shit in jail.
That’s true
i got a good feelin about this. my three favorite Wu MCs… can’t really go wrong.
i can’t not cop it. this is a must have for any Wu fan… a Wu CD collection wouldn’t be complete without it.
wish it was longer tho. 12 tracks – 2 skits = 10 songs wtf
Tiiight … Can’t wait
All hotness go cop this when it drops!!! Support some of the best that ever did it
love the marketing and value of the project, hip hop needs more of this.. hip hop didn’t start out in a box, it started in the park.. a free genre to do what it willed.. free will, creativity, expression.. mad props to these three and everyone involved in the project.. coping all three tuesday..
its gonna be ill no doubt about it
Lord have mercy those covers are supersick!! March 30th better be official (like
Nas & D. Marley’s release date) or I’m fuckin’ screamin on Def Jam for frontin’!
Anyway, I think this is great marketing scheme to make heads hit the racks; I mean,
if you really dig cover art. Furthermore, I can only hope that the beats and lyrics are as
ill if not iller than the covers themselves.I mean, imagine if this artwork was done for
36 chambers!! That would’ve been the sweetest insanity for a WU fan!!
bad news for you: Distant Relatives aint droppin til June
Liquid Swords waz da illest Wu sleeve. Does anyone know where I can get da T-shirt? Homeboy waz rockin’ it in 40-Year-Old Virgin.
No Redman?
Nice concept for originality. Sure to make this joint even more “classic” than it WILL be.
Still a Wu fan.the game just changed to a certain type of
Music and they not feeling a lot of cats from that
90’s era except for Jay-Z
