Method Man, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah’s Wu-Massacre Tracklisting Releases

Due on March 30th, the Wu-Massacre release from Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah is sizing up to fall in line with last year’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt. II, HipHopDX’s Album Of The Year For 2009. The album features sequels to “Meth vs. Chef” from Method Man’s 1994 debut Tical as well as “Criminology 2.5,” a follow-up to the fourth track on Raekwon’s 1995 debut.

The Def Jam release also features Inspectah Deck, as well as Cappadonna and onetime Theodore Unit member Solomon Childs. Production credits have yet to be revealed, though HipHopDX recently learned that several songs come courtesy of Mathematics.

    1. Man minus the two skits and the remix, this album only has 10 tracks of new material…and that’s even including the bonus track. I was hoping they’d deliver more than just this but I can’t complain too much I guess its better than nothing. WU

    2. Ight i can dig it, whats that smooth sailing remix about? theres an orginal? the only song i know with that name is a pete rock instrumental? this already seems classic. i just dont think criminology 2 was powerful enuff (beatwise). they need a strong opener on some house of flying dagger type shit

    3. Knowledge the understanding to bring forth your culture-13=1+3=4

Smooth Sailing, Gunshowers, Dangerous & Miranda look like them songs if I know the Wu like how I know them (Made Men=Wu cypher???). Our Dreams & Crim2 is good $. My 20 is ready when they are. Even though I expect a bonus track or two.

    4. I’m a Wu-fan, but slightly get the feeling this gonna be a dissapointment.
Only 10 new tracks like HipHopJunkee already pointed out; the first track (Criminology 2.5.) got left off Rae’s OBFCL2 and doesn’t even feature Meth. The first track should always feature all parties involved in the album.

Somehow I think this is gonna be more of an assemblage of tracks of three -brilliant- MC’s, but not a real focused group-effort. Hell, with all those mixtapes they dropped the past few years, and the amount of very good material on those, they should at least be able to make an album with 14 all new tracks, no skits included.

      1. Meth IS on Criminology 2.5….. note the 2.5, not 2. There’s already been a listening session and Meth is confirmed to be on the track.

    6. NEW MUSIC eminem feat 50 cent and lil wayne! leak song come listen before they deleate my page song called (goon luv) copy and paste myspace.com/mroc303

    7. dont jump to conclusions yet my nigs i thought the new nth and red cd was gonna be wack but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise so well just have to wait and see. its really gonna depend on who is doin the production on this.

    8. The album cover is super ill. I hope the beats and lyrical content are up to par but will cop it regardless.

    9. In addition, I would rather them take the necessary time to get the album right as opposed to rushing for a March release.

I have a few critical comments based on the songs so far: 1. Criminology 2.5 is really old and not the best song Wu track ever made. I am disappointed this even made the album. 2. The constant drum roll on the Mef vs Chef track is really annoying. It totally disrupts the flow and takes the steam out of it. 3. Our Dreams is a solid effort but I am not writing home about it. The beat sounds lazy and no real effort was really placed on the production.

    10. sick cover but i am really concerned about the quality. obfcl2 build the wu back a little bit so they needs this to be a banger to let the good feelings continue. if not, they will be right back to where they were before.

Please, p0lease, please delay the album 3 or 4 more months and put some time into it!

    12. yo this will be dope as fuck! even though rza only got one track mathematics usually comes correct when producin for the core wu members and scram jones had some hot beats on ob4cl2 so im not worried. it will prolly be much much better than people anticipate.

    13. Why do people get hype over track listings? I love the Wu and Rea had the best album of 09, but I can’t vouche for this one until I hear it. It feels kinda rushed being as they only release abums like every two years. But, they may just want to keep the momentum up. I’ve bought two really good hiphop albums this year
( Styles, Freeway) I hope they keep it going.

      1. my bad, i was thinkin of “Four Minutes to Lockdown”….

i associate those tracks with eachother for some reason, don’t ask why

      2. I second this, especially after Red’s “introducing the 11th member of Wu-Tang” line on Blackout 2. Officially that would never happen, but when you’re THAT cocky you better feature on every dope Wu project from here on out!

    14. there is a “web/site” named “black/white/loving” for dateing or relationship, black or white singles can go there to find something sexy or beauty online !!!!

    15. Mef vs. Chef 2 and Criminology 2.5 are very good tracks. If all 12 (not counting a damn skit on such a short album) are equally as great, this will be the Wu’s best group (or semi-group considering it’s the top 3 dudes) effort since Wu-Tang Forever.

*Don’t get me wrong, lyrically Liquid Swords is the TRUTH, top 3 Wu solo album in my opinion. However, as of RIGHT NOW, he’s not putting in work like he did in ’96.*

    16. Oh yeah, and this is by far the DOPEST album cover I’ve seen since ATLiens. Not even them 9th Wonder and Smif-N-Wessun/Sean Price/Buckshot covers are fucking with this, hands down.
