2KBaby has taken his Lil Wayne fandom to the next level with the release of a brand new mixtape titled Sorry 4 the Hate — listen to it below.
Inspired by Weezy’s classic 2011 mixtape Sorry 4 the Wait, the Louisville rapper’s latest effort hears him spit on a collection of other people’s beats — just like Wayne did — including tracks by Drake, Future, Jack Harlow, Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Central Tee and more.

“I’m just tryn go down as 1 of the [G.O.A.T.]’s in this shyt,” 2KBbay explained in an Instagram post showcasing the cover art for Sorry 4 the Hate — which is similar to the cover of Wayne’s original tape. “@liltunechi been inspiring [ninja]’s as long as I can remember & @ the same time paving the way for artists to do a lot of the shyt we do today [100 emoji].”
He continued: “‘Sorry 4 the Wait’ was the first Remixtape I got put on 2 & ‘Sorry 4 the Wait II’ was the last. So I thought I’d try to make my own Remixtape of the hottest 2022 songs on the chart rn [fire emoji]. Until I see it ain’t no artist in the game tht can fwm on this tip [shouting emoji]. & some of these songs on the project better than the original nokap, but I ain’t gon name drop [hush emoji].”
2KBaby went on to joke that there’s likely to be a bunch of artists “praying” he doesn’t attempt to rework their songs because his versions are better than the originals. He also addressed some of the criticism he’s faced over the years before linking it back to the mixtape’s title.
“If it ain’t 1 thing it’s another so ik yaw [dog]’s gon hav sum 2 say,” he wrote. “Whether it’s ‘didn’t he get robbed’ or ‘this [ninja] paint his nails’. & it’s sad asf kuz my shit really speak 2 a mf soul if u let it. Im sorry if the hate & disappointment u got in yaself make u project that shyt on somebody else. U can’t accept ya own flaws so u make sure u remind the next person of theirs. & I ain’t Mr. Perfect.”

2KBaby has had quite an eventful year. Back in May, the Kentucky lyricist debuted a shocking forehead tattoo that has the internet up in arms.
“Brodie what the hell,” producer Tay Keith commented on 2KBaby’s since deleted IG post, which showcased a bright pink tattoo of the number 2 carved right in between his eyebrows.
The melodic rhymer has also been hard at work on the follow-up to 2021’s First Quarter mixtape, which featured appearances from Mozzy, DDG and Chief Keef.
As for Lil Wayne, he’s enjoying the winter holiday thanks to his first-ever signature skateboard deck which was gifted to him just a few days before Christmas Day.

Not only has he been on the receiving end of some Christmas cheer, Weezy has dished out some of his own for a group of teens in his hometown of New Orleans.
Wayne and Young Money president Mack Maine teamed up with Wilson for a Weezy Christmas to spread holiday cheer for 150 teens at a local Dave & Buster’s for a day of fun arcade games. Each kid was gifted with sports equipment of their choice as well.
