Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, Rihanna previews a new track in a Dior ad, Ice T expresses his frustration in Iggy’s Billboard award wins, and Wiz Khalifa announces a sequel to his Rolling Papers project.

Fandom is probably the most interesting thing about our virtual lives, and, here, a self-proclaimed barb had a run in with the dark side of Nicki Minaj’s moon. Blocked after clowning Tidal and asking Nicki to put out “Feelin’ Myself” on Vevo, the young woman found herself on the other side of the tribal fence, getting attacked by her fellow fans and without the comfort of being able to tweet to Minaj to save her. She may have had a point, though. Apparently the fan paid for VIP tickets to Minaj’s tour.

jigga controls everyone in his circle! damn! why the fuck did she block a superfan? that’s just ridiculous. I bet jigga made her do it.
nicki minaj is in jay-z’s circle?
bitch said he got finals i can’t sleep LMAOOOO if you idolize a celeb that much kill yourself
The fuck is the difference whether Beyonce drank it our poured it out? It would’ve been in the toilet or the hot tub. You can’t be mad at what people do with their money, that’s sucker shit. It wasn’t like if she hadn’t poured it out some random person’s rent woulda got paid. Bitchin and moaning for the sake of it. Pay your own fucking bills. That’s how I pay mine.
agree
Nicki/her PA who runs her twitter shouldn’t have blocked that fan for saying that. Bad fan relations. And Beyonce has turned into a joke. To think she posts a photo of pouring money down the drain like its something to be proud of. smh.
Ever occur to you she’s having a good time with the money she earned, and can therefore do with it as she pleases? A joke? Stop playing yourself, Her and Hov are worth over $1B. A joke is tearing up your own city and fighting/killing over Jordan’s. Now laugh.
The Real Real Talk doesn’t have any comprehension skills.
Alcohol is a poison, I don’t see why people value it so much that $2000 bottle ain’t any different from a 40 oz it will still get you drunk the same.
The beyonce thing… they do realize people use props for videos? even if it’s real; who cares? It’s a song called “feeling myself.” What people do with their own money is their own business. What if she got it for free? Does it make a difference then? Or would they rather her donate the drink to charity?
I kind of understand what those people mean in regards to what Beyonce was doing. I’m personally not one to tell people what to do with their money. However, it’s those fans that made her rich in the first place. They spent their hard earned money to make her the star she is now. Had they not believed in what she was trying to sell, she wouldn’t be the brand she is now. Yeah it’s easy to say “you didn’t have to support her.” But folks are out here struggling for real. It’s some real ish still going on underneath all the “entertainment” that’s happening. And when these celebs have their feeling myself moments, it does seem like they’re spitting in the face of their supporters in a way. It’s like saying I’m worth this and you’re not.
