Only people that deserve to be on this list rn are Dicky, Herb, Yachty, Paak, Dave East, and arguably Denzel. But the others that shoulda made it were Noname Gypsy, Bryson Tiller, Playboi Carti, Post Malone and they weren’t even nominees but Ferg and Bishop Nehru would’ve been great
Glad Anderson Paak made the cover. He’s one my favorite singers rn and his features on Compton were A plus. Also if you haven’t yet listen to Professional Rapper by lil dicky and snoop or any of his freestyles. Dickys flow and wordplay are on an eminem level, no lie. Also Herb and Dave East been spitting dope shit, and Ice Water, Broccoli, and Minnesota are all solid turn up jams from Yachty. But Desiigner, Uzi, and Denzel all each only have one good song to their name (Panda / Top / Ultimate), and Kodak and Savage are straight up trash.
I agree completely. I’d replace Desiigner with Post Malone. Ofc he has white iverson to his name, but Posts other jams are just as good. On God, Holyfield, Too Young, Go Flex, and Tears are all great, vibey music. I’d replace Uzi with Bryson Tiller, cuz Trapsoul was one of the best albums of 2015, hands down. Nuff said bout that. I’d replace Denzel with Noname Gypsy, cuz Gypsys’s been grinding for years and been snubbed or left out of the nominee pool the whole time.
