Political reporters and regular citizens alike are constantly fact checking statements in the era of President Donald Trump. With fake news and false statistics proliferating at a pace like never before, HipHopDX felt it was appropriate to examine the many rappers who could have used a fact-checker in the studio.

From blatantly incorrect mathematics to mistaken identities, MCs have messed up a lot throughout Hip Hop history. Take a look at 17 of the most egregious errors, both new and old, that rappers have made on wax over the years. Also, make sure to leave a comment and let us know some of the examples that come to mind that didn’t make the list.

Kanye West — “Gettin’ It In”
