Royce Da 5’9 Is Ready

The highly anticipated and often-delayed debut album from Royce Da 5’9 is complete and ready to hit selves in 2002. Game Records will release “Rock City” on February 26 of next year.

Royce gained notoriety as being the bad half of the “bad meets evil” duo, the evil half being a pretty well-known emcee named Eminem. After appearing on “The Slim Shady LP” and releasing some well received singles with Slim (“Scary Movies,” “Nuttin’ To Do”), Royce Da 5’9 really started to blow up with the Alchemist produced “King of Kings” and then exploded with the appropriately titled Premier banger, “Boom.” Royce seemed to pop up on every mix tape and compilation album in the year 2000; he really should have struck when the iron was hot and released an album then.

The first single from the album “You Can’t Touch Me,” is kind of weak and isn’t generated much of a buzz for the album. Still, don’t sleep on Royce Da 5’9.
