Akademiks has said that Elliott Wilson‘s claim that Drake and Future have squashed their beef isn’t entirely accurate.
The controversial media personality refuted Wilson’s claims on during a livestream on Saturday night (November 2).
“Big shoutout to my man Elliott Wilson, but with all due respect,” he said. “I’ve spoken to extremely credible sources on both sides, and Drake and Future has not been on the phone. So, not too sure who gave Elliott Wilson the authority to say this, but from what I hear that is not true, that is 100% cap. Now, I’m not gonna say Elliott Wilson is contorting or misrepresenting.”

In the latest twist in the Hip Hop civil war that erupted earlier this year, Wilson revealed on the latest episode of The Bigger Picture that the What a Time to Be Alive collaborators recently squashed their beef over the phone.
“I have it on good authority that Drake and Future have at least gotten on the phone and resolved their differences,” he said.
The veteran Hip Hop journalist suggested that the truce was helped by Young Thug‘s recent social media post in which he urged Drake, Future and Metro Boomin to make amends.
“@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we all bruddas. Music aint the same without us collabin,” Thugger wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in October, prior to his release from jail after agreeing a plea deal in his long-running YSL RICO case.
“I think that helped the energy when Future reposted it,” Wilson said.
Despite being mentioned in Thug’s tweet, Metro Boomin was not a part of the peace talks, according to Wilson.
“There’s no trust there still with Metro,” he joked, “but I do believe that Drake and Future are back on the same page.”
Wilson also noted that a Drake and Future reconciliation isn’t all that surprising given the 6 God held off on dissing Pluto in the way that he did Kendrick Lamar and his other “20 vs. 1” opponents — “Pluto shit make me sick to my stomach, we ain’t never really been through it / Leland Wayne, he a fuckin’ lame, so I know he had to be an influence,” he rapped on “Family Matters,” blaming Metro for the friction.
“Obviously we know that Drake and Future have so much history. Drake was the one saying, ‘We never really went through it.’ [Future] got the lightest of all the taps in the one v. 20, so it makes sense in some capacity,” the former XXL editor-in-chief concluded.
Guess we have to trust DJ AK cuz he is the man that is normally located right under Drake’s balls.
Comment of the year.
