Gunplay has never been afraid to voice his opinions — and his latest opinions are about the newest trend of “snitching” in Hip Hop.
In an interview with Cam Capone News, which dropped on Friday (June 23), the former MMG rapper shared what he thought were salient comments about the current state of affairs for co-conspirators-turned-confidential informants.
The interviewer, specifically, was asking him about the Boosie Badazz situation when Gunplay weighed in.
“It don’t matter,” he said. “People don’t care about the integrity like that — the street code, and having integrity like that, it’s just gone. You can snitch now, and it’s okay. You can actually snitch and brag about it.”
He continued: “You can be a male rapper one day, and the next day be a female rapper. It’s okay. And then, one day, you know, you can be married one day — and then the next day, be married to a fuckin’ giraffe or some shit, or a tree. Look at the game, man! Look at this shit! You don’t see this shit? Am I the only one seeing this shit? It’s over. Morals is gone.”
Gunplay certainly has a strong moral code — one that he’s not afraid to stick to when he feels he’s been wronged. Such was the case earlier this month, when he called out fans who refunded their donations to his GoFundMe page for believing the proceeds were used to buy Rick Ross a chain, calling them “a piece of shit.”
The drama all started shortly after Gunplay and The Breakfast Club host DJ Envy traded shots back in May, which escalated after the former demanded an apology for bringing his newborn daughter’s GoFundMe page into Envy’s feud with Rick Ross.
The GoFundMe in question had been started by Gunplay’s partner to help cover their daughter’s medical bills following her emergency heart surgery in February.
The couple raised over $30,000, but Gunplay is now claiming that some of the donations were recently refunded after a video emerged of him gifting Rozay a new chain.
“Every single one of you pussy-ass hoes and fuck n-ggas that went to the GoFundMe and donated and went and got a motherfucking refund, you never gave it with your heart,” Gunplay angrily said in a new interview with We In Miami. “You’re a piece of shit. You’ll die that way.”
He continued: “People that see me give my brother a gift, they automatically want to say that I bought that with GoFundMe money. N-gga had to pay that back. So now, if you really want to be for real, my n-gga, if a n-gga spent that on a chain, how the fuck they got it right back instantly with no pressure?”
Rapper’s can also buy a necklace for their C.O. boyfriend instead of taking care of their sick kids obv. Fake ass gangsta

Rappers need to move away from this gangsta space. This generation coming of age now are not from the crack 80s or some shit catastrophic that made that kind of rap understandable for the 90s or early 2000s. So let’s stop with the glorification of this street life shit. Just tell your story and stop trying to convince everyone you had the hardest life imaginable because nobody is believing that shit. The poorest houses in the hood these days are privileged compared to how poor people had it back in the crack 80s and 70s. Like Coi Leray sounds stupid talking about how hard she had it. People in the projects have iPhones and shit today. Let’s get off that and get back to making good music.
Nope! Wrong Ninja! Next page! FOH, evil black ninja!
I personally think if you had morals in the first place that you wouldn’t be in a gang. Logic is hard for some people
Honestly this guy proved that most rappers are truly suckas. 50 and his crew put this n to sleep like a new born baby, god.
The “ morals” 😂
It’s because hip isn’t black anymore. It’s mostly white boys supporting the Rick Ross, snitch9, and gunna type. Gunna not even good in the clubs in his own city.
Where to start with that dumbass comment. White been in hip-hop, Rick Rubin et al. How does that equate to snitching on your man? In my experience your skin don’t dictate behavior. I seen stand up dudes and straight bitches from everywhere and in every color. It’s more society. This generation is soft period. Can’t take criticism want everything handed to them. Rappers don’t freestyle, don’t tag, etc. The whole thing is oversaturated and watered way down commercial bullshit. Rick Ross is a cop and Gunnna snitched. Street cred 0 for both, whether that matters to music is an interesting considering keeping it real used to be mandatory. Now I don’t know. All I know is it was different back in the day in both respects.
