Method Man, Ghostface Killah & Raekwon Reunite On Statik Selektah’s ‘Unpredictable’

Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Inspectah Deck have reunited on wax thanks to Statik Selektah, who brought the Wu-Tang Clan stars together for his newest track, “Unpredictable.”

The song stands as the first single off Statik’s forthcoming album, Round Trip. It follows 2020’s The Balancing Act project and his 2022 joint LP with Bun B, Trillstatik 2.
Deck sets the tone as he opens up the track with his hard-hitting bars, “So savage, total my average that’s GOAT status / Addicts fiending for these lines, that’s a coke habit.”

Fans may recognize the “Soul Dog” sample Statik used – as it’s the same one Common used on “Hungry” taken from his One Day It’ll All Make Sense album.

In related news, Nas and the Wu-Tang Clan have announced they’ll be going back on the road for the next leg of their popular NY State of Mind Tour.

The tour will kick off once again on May 9 in Auckland, New Zealand, before the guys make the international trek and stop by several cities in Australia.

They will then take the tour to Europe by visiting Sweden, Denmark, Germany and more before heading back to the States. From there, Nas and Wu-Tang will hit up several cities in Tennessee, Florida, Nevada and California, to name a few.

Most notably, the tour will make its way to Brooklyn, New York, on September 27, which is a delight for fans in the Big Apple as many complained that Nas and the Wu didn’t perform in their hometown on the first leg last year.

The tour’s first leg was filled with surprising moments, such as LL COOL J, Jadakiss and Mary J. Blige popping out on the Los Angeles date. LL took to Instagram along with his Rock The Bells page to share behind-the-scenes footage of the concert and the action going down on stage, such as him performing his verse on the single “4,3,2,1.”

Mary J. Blige showed up to perform the 1995 Grammy Award-winning single “All I Need” with Method Man, while Jadakiss reportedly popped up during Nas’ set. Fans were worried about friction within the Wu when Method Man was noticeably absent from the first couple of stops on the tour.

Meth took to his social media with a video of him explaining he couldn’t be on tour because of film obligations, but he did shock fans when he showed up at the New Jersey stop alongside Redman to perform an explosive set with his Wu-Tang brothers.

    1. Why isn’t deck mentioned? He was the best on the track. These four are the best of the bunch. Gza is asent, Rza isn’t the same anymore, U God is not consistent, MK is hardly seen and Cap is unlucky not to be on this.

    2. Awesome song even though these samples played out two decades ago. For all Inspectah Deck fans check out his new song with Fashawn too, “wreckless” – song dope as duck!!! it is Meeco & DJ Access song tbf

    3. With this track, the new Inspectah Deck/Fashawn track, the Ghostface/Lady Wray track and last year’s Ghostface/Nems track, there’s at last some really good beats and OG style Wu Tang flows. String these together and there’s the beginnings of a new Wu LP that would be way better than the last one!
