Krayzie Bone Is Not Impressed With Herschel Walker’s ‘Crossroads’ Dance

Krayzie Bone has some questions after seeing footage of former NFL player Herschel Walker dancing to the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony classic “Tha Crossroads” during a campaign stop.

In the clip, which popped up on Instagram on Friday (November 18), Walker can be seen attempting a few dance moves during a voter rally in Georgia. The first few notes of the 1995 Bone Thugs hit can be heard playing as Walker supporters clap in the background.

Upon seeing the video, Krayzie Bone took to Twitter asking: “Yoooo what the hell is he doing?”

Herschel Walker’s dance moves inspired similar reactions from fans on Twitter, one of which inspired Krayzie Bone to double down on his disbelief.  “I’m still tryna figure out was he trying to pop lock or something [shrug emoji] you can’t pop lock to cross roads man,” Krayzie tweeted.

If Krayzie Bone and his groupmates decide to pursue legal action, it would not be the first time in recent years — or even in the current election cycle — that artists chose that route to distance themselves from a candidate.

Earlier this week, the estate of Isaac Hayes announced that it was looking into options to prevent Donald Trump from using the late soul legend’s work in any future appearances. This came after Trump used Sam & Dave’s classic, “Hold On I’m Coming” during an event at his Mar-A-Lago estate where he announced his intention to run for president again in 2024.

“Stopping a politician from using your music is not always an easy task,” the Isaac Hayes estate shared via its official Twitter account, “but we are dedicated to making sure that Donald Trump does not continue to use ‘Hold on I’m Coming’ by written by Isaac Hayes an David Porter in further rallies and public appearances.”

According to Vulture, this marks no less than 22 artists and estates which have taken such action against Trump, including Rihanna, Pharrell Williams and Prince’s estate.

On Thursday (November 17), Arizona Republican Kari Lake was also hit with a cease & desist by the estate of Tom Petty after using his song “I Won’t Back Down” after it was announced that her opponent Katie Hobbs was projected to win the race to become Arizona’s governor.

Herschel Walker is back on the campaign trail after both he and his opponent, Rev. Raphael Warnock failed to secure 50 percent of the votes to officially win the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Warnock.

The two are set to face each other for a second time during a run-off election set for December 6.

A handful of fans even suggested that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony consider taking legal action to prevent Walker from using the iconic song in any future appearances.

      1. Majority of new artist that come into the business don’t own the rights to their own songs. Especially when you sign to a major. They pay for the promotion, video, producer etc. so it makes sense for them to own the rights. Also owning the rights to your songs doesn’t mean you are going to be financially successful. You have to pay for the majority of everything and most artist don’t make their money back when they pay for everything unless they strike gold. In the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s you weren’t getting your music on the radio or national tv unless you were on a major, their have been some exceptions not many. So some times not owning your songs can work in your favor if the record labels help make your songs hot to the point where you can perform at concerts for like 20-30 years vs someone that owns his stuff but it never got hot so it wasn’t profitable and wasn’t hot enough to where people would want to see you perform it for years, song wasn’t hot enough to be in movies or commercial. I would rather be paid with someone owning my old stuff then owning all of my stuff and being broke.

    1. Who cares about his dance? What are his policies? Seems like people here would rather have Warnock over Walker just cause Walker doesn’t agree with them. Name something good Warnock has done that’s good? Other then vote for Biden’s shitty agenda that has thrown gasoline on inflation, and divisive politics. You call Walker disparaging, and racist names for being conservative. What do you call Warnock for siding with Biden on everything without any real thought?

      1. Hate to break it to you but, inflation is affecting everyone globally. Cut it with the finger pointing and regurgitating griftor bullshit.

    2. Would love to get a mix between leaves of legend and melodies. I like both albums from Krayzie Bone. I do think krayzie melodies have a few cheesy joints on there doe, rock ya body might be one of krayzie worst songs ever. we need more joints like motion, catch a vibe and missing you. also bro release smoke by myself and please don’t go

    3. Man kray got so many classics tracks im not just talking group wise either.
Lost our way, future, vanilla lights, smoking budda, let’s live, lockdown, shackled up. it’s all real.
