Megan Thee Stallion’s victorious legal battle against her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment continues to build an after story in wake of the verdict on Thursday (March 5).
After Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince dismissed his name being included in the suit as “lies and stupidity,” Hot Girl Meg proceeded to defend her honor to her 9.1 million Instagram followers with some fairly impassioned statements.
“FACTS ARE FACTS AND THE FACTS ARE PUBLIC ‼️” she began. “I’m extremely pleased that 1501 and Carl Crawford were denied the request to dissolve the Court order and try to stop my music from being released. I will proceed with the release of ‘SUGA’. On Friday March 6.”

Shortly after the announcement of the upcoming Suga, Meg began to use #FREEMEG and #FREETHEESTALLION hashtags on social media and eventually came to disclose that 1501 were putting a block on her music release schedule.
On March 2, a Harris County judge granted the Houston rapper a temporary restraining order to drop the project, much to the chagrin of 1501 boss Carl Crawford.
Megan also addressed Prince’s mentioning of her mother (who passed away last year).
“I will stand up for myself and won’t allow two men to bully me, I am NO ONES PROPERTY,” she continued. “Y’all are choosing to highlight the issue of music splits…talk about everything else. This has nothing to do with anyone else including JAY-Z, stop deflecting and trying to make this a publicity stunt.”
She then listed off her version of facts, which align with the court’s ruling.
1. 1501 doesn’t want to approve my budget to put out my project that the court is allowing to be released.
2. 1501 tried to stop my release, I prevailed in court
3. 1501 tried to fight the decision today, the court denied 1501’s request??♀️ respect my deceased mother, she’s not here, you don’t know her, you weren’t involved,

Earlier on Thursday, Meg visited Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez to hammer home her frustration and but also clarify the level of her emotions.
“If you know me you know I don’t like going back and forth, I don’t like a lot of confrontation,” she explained to the interviewers. “You really gotta push me to upset me, or for me to even address something. So I feel like, you know, it was just time to say something.”
She also didn’t mince her words when describing how she felt the brevity of the situation was weighing on her shoulders.
“I mean my issue is not with money, I just want what’s fair,” she claimed. “I want the proper agreement. I don’t want to be treated like an object, I don’t want to be treated like a slave. I want to be treated as a human being and … What’s right is right and what’s fair is fair.”
