Cam’ron Reveals Juelz Santana Is Out Of Jail

Juelz Santana is out of jail, according to two recent Instagram posts from fellow Dipset vets Cam’ron and Jim Jones.

On Friday (April 6), Cam posted a screenshot of their FaceTime call with the caption, “Fuck they talking bout!!! @thejuelzsantana home!!!!! #TheBrotherhood.”

Jones posted the same photo and wrote, “God bless th [e] Set @thejuelzsantana is back home.”

Santana turned himself in to Port Authority police on March 12 after TSA discovered a gun in his luggage at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a weapon on an aircraft, unlawful possession of a weapon and drug possession.

Essex County prosecutors let the federal authorities take over the case after Santana pleaded not guilty to the state charges, which were dismissed last week. A plea in the federal proceedings has yet to be made.[apple_news_ad type=”any”]

Juelz Santana is going to be prosecuted by federal authorities, according to Associated Press. The veteran MC is facing drug and gun charges after fleeing from an airport when TSA found a .38-caliber handgun and oxycodone pills, which he didn’t have a prescription for, in his carry-on bag.

Essex County prosecutors have decided to defer to the feds in the case. Santana, who remains behind bars, pleaded not guilty to the state charges, which were dismissed last week. A plea in the federal proceedings hasn’t been made yet.

Santana faces an uphill battle against the feds, who have a high conviction rate. In 2012, 93 percent of defendants in federal cases pleaded guilty or were found guilty.

More pieces to the puzzle have emerged in Juelz Santana’s recent airport incident. According to TMZ, the Dipset rapper fled Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday (March 9) for not only possessing a gun but also the powerful narcotic Oxycodone.

Law enforcement reportedly said Santana had eight Oxycodone pills in his baggage at the time of his arrest. Consequently, Santana, who turned himself in on Monday (March 12), has been formally charged with felony drug possession.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday (March 14).

Juelz Santana surrendered to Port Authority police on Monday (March 12) after fleeing Newark Liberty International Airport when TSA discovered a gun in his luggage, according to NJ.com. Santana has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a weapon on an aircraft, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drugs.

A police spokesman said the Dipset member, whose real name is LaRon James, went peacefully into police custody around 1 a.m. Eastern on Monday. Santana is scheduled to appear in a U.S. District Court in Newark, New Jersey on Monday afternoon.

Juelz Santana reportedly plans to turn himself over to police custody, according to the South Passaic Daily Voice. On Friday (March 9), Santana fled from Newark Liberty International Airport after TSA detected a gun in his bag.

The Daily Voice reports arrangements were made for Santana to surrender to police at 9 a.m. Eastern on Sunday (March 11). As of 3:09 p.m. EST, Santana — whose real name is LaRon James — hasn’t been booked according to Passaic County Jail records.

Santana was arrested multiple times in 2011. In 2013, he was sentenced to two years probation for threatening his neighbor.[apple_news_ad type=”any”]

Juelz Santana evidently didn’t make his flight on Friday night (March 9). According to NBC New York, the Dipset rapper fled the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey after TSA found a gun in his baggage.

Sources said that as soon as Santana was detected by authorities, he ran off and possibly jumped in a cab. Port Authority Police Department detectives are reportedly looking for the Love and Hip Hop: New York star at this time.

TSA regulations state that bringing a weapon to an airport security checkpoint is punishable by a fine and could result in an arrest. If the gun is loaded, fines can reach up to $9,800.

Last week, Santana posted a photo of himself with Lil Wayne while they were in Golden Glades. Florida. The two had recently linked up for the track “Bloody Mary,” which was taken from Wayne’s Dedication 6: Reloaded mixtape.

The track samples 2Pac’s “Hail Mary.”

    1. This the same “man” who admitted to using women’s belt buckles and shoes. Look it up if you don’t believe me.

    2. There are too many dumb artists. From Travis Scott to Juelz…I mean, what was he thinking? Yeah, they won’t know who you are…dumb dude. From Hell Rell being served by goons to Juelz shenanigans, I believe Dipset was a movement…a movement of idiots…

    3. Still no third album. Cam screwed this guy’s career when he dissed Jay-z when dude was the head of Def Jam and Juelz was still signed to Def Jam. Back in 2006, there were two people making big noise in the streets that I thought would end up being huge, one was Lil Wayne and the other was Juelz.

      1. Juelz fucked himself by dropping two SHITTY, and I mean SHITTY albums. “From Me To U” is still to this day one of the worst albums I have ever heard. And 50 single handedly dismantled Dipset, Jay and Nas just ignored them for the most part. As far as this incident goes, the consequences are far more severe for someone with a record.

    4. Why? You can send your gun through luggage. Only a $10000 fine? Jail needs to be an option for discouragement. Not hating on Juelz, just concerned for security.

    5. A celebrity bringing a burner to the airport is just plane stupid or is looking for publicity. in this case I think it’s both.

    6. Really??? I don’t get why these dudes constantly try to bring guns in their bags, and get all surprised when they are discovered. It hasn’t work before, chances are it won’t work for you either. Juelz went from dipset to dipshit.

      1. TSA is a hot mess…I’m pretty sure he’s Snuck in guns before it’s not that hard…. TSA has been tested many times and failed miserably …..That doesn’t mean that Jules Santana is an idiot for even doing this

    7. The rappers wanting the attention because of a fading career, this doesn’t help your so call street cred you never had hope them guns laws in New Jersey aren’t as stiff as they are in Ny because if they are stick the fork in Juelz he done

      1. Juelz is well respected and is nice on the mic. I can’t feel my face and what the game been missing are classics. He got his first record deal at 12 years old. Saying he did this for attention is dumb and you need to do your hw on juelz before you diss but he is a real azz dude so u wouldn’t understand.

        1. 2 of those things you said were wrong:

What The Game’s Been Missing is by no means a “classic”.

Juelz never had a record deal at 12.

          Carry on.

        2. He is one of the lamest rappers ever, and if he was a real dude he wouldn’t have brought his dirt to the airport

    8. This might be for the show. Or he’s just an idiot. Wouldn’t be surprised either way. Dipset were always super corny.

    9. Either someone slipped that into his bag or he took the wrong bag to the airport. If he ran it was probably more in anger and confusion than flat out fear. TSA would’ve told him it was just a fine and it would be light.

    10. The fine for bringing a loaded gun to the airport is only $9800 lol
      Wow what a joke
Shit should be like a million at least maybe that would do some good

    11. Same thing happened to Petey Pablo and he didn’t flee TSA, and he got prison time for it. That sucks for Juelz, I’ve always kind of been rooting for him to have a comeback, but this makes me doubt that he ever will.

    12. I just dont understand how this always happens? Like who really thinks they are getting a gun through airport security? Did he forget it was in his bag? Either way this guy is dumb as fuck and completely devoid of common sense.

    13. Isn’t it common knowledge that getting busted at an Airport in NYC with a gun is going to get you jail time? Use ya fing head

    14. Wait. So he fled the airport because he forgot he had a strap in his bag, got in a cab, was on the run, organized his surrender and still had Oxy’s on him when he turned himself in? What type of weed y’all sellin my guy? How you just forget things like this?

      1. I caught that too… it said arrest, but they really meant he had the pills in his luggage when he fled. The initial drug charge he caught was the 8 oxys, he didn’t surrender himself w/ the dope on him.. that’s just the poor journalism effect you picked up on

    15. Everybody in DIPSET all seem like simpletons. Same goes for anyone who is a hardcore DIPSET fan. These dudes are retards straight up. Its not a coincidence that NYC rap started falling off and ATL started blowing up big time right around the same time DIPSET was the hottest crew in NYC.

      1. How is that when g+unit ran the game from 02-03 alway to 08-09 do your research you idiot .Matter fact 50 slowed them down around the time CURTIS drop when him and cam was beefing. He dissed him on yunbuck album it went Platinum too he from the south

    16. Hey everybody XXL is way better then this garbage site at least they have real hip hop reviews amd not just this pop trap trash

    17. The fuck you expect? Anything airline oriented with a felony attatched will bring the feds the airlines are their jurisdiction…just like moving drugs in your city vs crossing state lines can bring the feds… thought these dipshits were street smart?

    18. people listen….a felon in possession of a fireman is a felony punishable up to 10 years in prison…thats federal law…..no if ands or butts about it…..only way outta it , you gotta start singing , and i aint talking no chris brown song…

    19. This guy needs the maximum punishment for his felony crime. No joke. I really want him to spend the next decade in prison. Reason? Dude wears women’s belts and sneakers. Look it up if you don’t believe me.

    20. Seriously if you’re a celebrity why not just get a script for the oxy? Celebrities have access to docs that will give them anything they want. All of Prince’s opiates we’re legally prescribed and Michael Jackson’s doctor gave him home access to drugs civilians never get outside a hospital. Brit musicians could get pharmaceutical grade cocaine proscribed to them for decades.. And you’re telling me Juelz couldn’t find a doc to give him oxy? Naw, dude was being stupid, cheap, or lazy and now it’s gonna cost him a lot more. And the gun, he deserves that charge too. Whether he was dumb enough to think he’d get it on a plane without TSA calling him out, or legitimately forgot it was in his bag. If you’re so careless with a firearm that you’d lose track of it in a bag you just packed yourself, that deserves at least a slap too. Not saying people shouldn’t have guns, but they are very dangerous and misplacing a firearm in that manner is insanely irresponsible. Sucks for him though, feds got a mandatory 85% rule so he’ll serve a vast majority of his sentence and that’s only if he maintains good behavior throughout.

    21. I hope he gets 10 years in jail. The hiphopcommunity won’t miss him. Nobody is checking for him with his skinny jeans or Dipshit Crew. It’s over Dipshit had some buzz 15 years ago and they all need to stop rapping. We need new dope rappers who wear real mens clothing and who resepct the art of mc’ing. Give hiphop back to us.

    22. The dude was lucky his rapping skills I would give him a D- minus that include Jim Jones as well they were cohorts of Cam who was ok on the mic . Juelz been doing way to many drugs and packed a gun in his luggage his so call rap career has flat line along time ago time to move on this little stunt want result in record sales !!!!!!!!!
