The Roots (in conjunction with Live Nation Urban) have announced the lineup for the 11th annual Roots Picnic, which is scheduled to go down at Festival Pier on June 2 in The Roots’ hometown of Philadelphia.
Hosted by the inimitable Dave Chappelle, the 2018 Roots Picnic boasts appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Dirty Projectors, The Diplomats, 2 Chainz, 6LACK, dvsn, Brandy, Rapsody, and (of course) The Roots.
A special Black Thought and J. Period Live Mixtape event featuring Fabolous and Jadakiss is also on the bill.
Tickets go on sale Friday (February 16) at 12 p.m. ET and pre-sales are available here.
I stoped reading after “Lil”
Because we all know Lil Uzi vert is the Black Thought of the new generation
Just a reminder that Roots basically worked with most of the mainstream thanx to Jimmy so seeing Uzi on their list shouldn’t be a surprise rather you h8 him or not
