JAY-Z Deems Meek Mill’s Prison Sentence “Unjust & Heavy Handed”

After the news broke that Meek Mill is facing up to four years in a prison for probation violations, social media went wild commenting on the Wins & Losses rapper’s sentence. Hip Hop mogul JAY-Z was one of the many to weigh in on Meek’s situation. He took to Facebook on Monday night (November 6) and called the judge’s decision “unjust and heavy handed.”

“The sentence handed down by the Judge—against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer—is unjust and heavy handed,” Hov wrote. “We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.”

In March, Meek was arrested on misdemeanor assault charges. Five months later, he was taken into custody for reckless driving and reckless endangerment after getting busted “poppin’ wheelies” in New York City.

Charges from both of those incidents were ultimately dropped, but led to his court hearing on Monday (November 6). After Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley reviewed his case, he evidently came to the conclusion that it was indeed in violation of his probabtion.

“I’ve been trying to help you since 2009,” Brinkley reportedly said. “You basically thumbed your nose at me.”

      1. True, because Drake is like 50 people from different cities, countries, religions and ethnicities. Plus a corporate army with click farms in Indonesia he his back…

    1. Heavy handed as it may be dude knew he was under the watchful eye and should have kept his shit clean knowing dam well if he got caught up it wasn’t gonna go well..deez cats got more dollars than scents smh

    2. Hmm, everybody loves Jay. Everybody hates Meek. I wonder how the comments will look. Will people finally disagree with Jay on something?

      1. Not me, not surprised that Sean would say Meek’s sentence is too long. That’s what you can expect from Sean, he you shot his own brother in the belly.

    3. Fuck tha Law, fuck tha judges and everyone flaming on Meek Mill probation case to be Sentence to jail, I quess they don’t wanna see young black niqqaz getting money and enjoying life. #y’all suck a dick and go to hell though #Dreamchasers for life #we came from dirt and we ain’t going back. #Pussies

      1. You sound like a delusional idiot with no accountability…keep drinking henny and pretending you are some kind of street guy on the internet

    4. Every grown man is accountable for their own actions. I’ll be damned if I’m gonna feel sympathy for this bozo, he had plenty of chances. This whole culture idolizes a bunch of fugazi criminals and then they whine like bitches when they get caught, like everybody is out to get them. Nah, that’s the life you chose, real men understand that. There are consequences and repercussions to everything you do in life, smarten up and stop living like a low life if you don’t want let the criminal justice system in your life. Otherwise stfu, nobody cares.

        1. Bro before that he failed drug tests and was linked to violent incidents he knew he was on a thin line and he played it loose anyway

      1. You must be gay fam. No straight man says “hoodrat” in a sentence when he’s talking about another man. That’s like the 2 gay dudes talking to each other like “gon’ bitch, do that bitch.”

        1. Only men insecure with their sexuality would let a word dictate what their sexuality is.. It’s ok bruh.. You probably still say “ayo” or “pause” at the end of every sentence too.. The reference clearly went over your head to begin with….

    5. I don’t agree with the sentence but dude broke his probation three times(travelling without permission, reckless driving and assault) over the original gun and drug violation. It’s not like Meek didn’t have chances or that his conditions of probation were that onerous. Meek had a fight in an Airport, while on probation and after already violating his parole, did he seriously think that he could get away with doing that?!?! He should be locked up for being dumb let alone violating probation.

    6. Non-African Americans are funny. They sit around listen to gangsta rap then the moment a rapper gets into it with the law they turn law student and start laughing at a black man court case. Where I’m from grown men don’t sit around talking bout another grown man court case.

      1. Yes, white kid in parents basement pretending to be black, please tell us more about how black people should act.
