After unveiling their new moniker— Bone Thugs — and lead single “Coming Home” featuring Stephen Marley, Bizzy Bone and Krayzie Bone of the legendary Bone Thugs-n-Harmony crew are in heavy work mode, currently crafting their upcoming video, “Fantasy,” at a random roller skating rink somewhere in Los Angeles. While many Bone Thugs-n-Harmony fans are thrilled to finally see a Bizzy and Krayzie duo come to fruition, there are some saying it’s simply because the rest of the members “fell off,” something both Krayzie and Bizzy dismissed in a recent interview with HipHopDX.
“I haven’t heard it I guess,” Bizzy says. “There was a time when I was doing the Strength and Loyalty record that it was shit on Bizzy time. ‘Hey he’s drinking, he’s a drug addict, he’s doing this and doing that,’ and so on and so forth. I don’t take that shit personally. I just let them see what I’m doing and where I’m at with it, and that’s the same with the band. Layzie has a record out called Perfect Timing currently and the rest of us, we’re a traveling band. This is what we do. We get on the road, we work, stay relevant, and we stay out there.”
“I will tell you they wrong,” Krayzie adds. “They got it twisted for real.”
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony has always been like family (in fact, some of them are actually blood-related). Bizzy, Krayzie, Layzie, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone could not have established the legacy they have without all of the pieces to the puzzle. After all, the “Harmony” part of the name comes from five voices meshing together to create the group’s unique (and undeniably dope) sound. As far as certain members “falling off,” Bizzy assures people they’re still thriving, but also has a message for any haters out there.
“They eatin’, they got some money, they rent paid, and they doing good,” Bizzy says. “After you’ve been in the business for 20 years, sometimes certain artists fall off and can’t feed themselves.
“But yeah I haven’t heard it yet. I can’t wait for someone to say it to my face— say it to my face! Wait a minute, them fighting words,” he laughs.
Like most families would, the rest of the members supported the idea of Bone Thugs. The duo’s forthcoming album, New Waves, features contributions from the other three as well.
“This was something that was long overdue, so we decided to go about it in this way,” Bizzy explains. “With the support of all of the fellas, we were able to put it together. They gave us enough time to get in the studio to record it and stuff, and we were able to do what we needed to do. We also got some good stuff with the rest of the fellas on there. We’re a family and that’s just what we do.”
“The other members are just as active as we are,” Krayzie adds. “We’re doing our thing all the time. It don’t stop.”
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is gearing up to the hit road once again on a massive North American tour. Check out tour dates here and watch for New Wave to arrive sometime in June.
I love Bizzy and Krayzie they are the most talented members in the group, but there is a reason Bone fans are anticipating this album like it’s a bone thugs album, the other member def fell off except for maybe flesh who prob got better especially when he raps in his regular voice.
SAY IT TO HIS FACE!!!!!!!!!
Lol I love BIzzy but even he knows some of his boys fell off he is just protecting them by not openly admitting it, which is what a team player is suppose to say but it’s not the worst thing it’s not like all of them are suppose to still be dope, Wish doesn’t really need to be dope anymore their foundation is laid out and set, with opportunities to build on it. they still get money, they still tour. Bizzy and Krayzie are still really good, Flesh can be good at times we don’t hear enough from him tho, layzie is in and out his flow stays the same a lot, But with all that being said to me they have done enough to be consider the Best rap group ever.
Wish been fell off and everybody in the group knows it BTNH fans know it too at the same time wish bone is loved amongst BTNH fans and Hip Hop fans because he is a solid dude never BS he is straight up and still respected even though he def is not close to where he used to be
I mean lets be honest 90% of BTNH fans have always loved Bizzy and Krayzie the most , those 2 had the beef thing going on years ago and it was hard to watch , i am excited for this album and look forward to hearing the other 3 members on the guest spots no doubt will always have love for L Burna Wish and the Fifth Dawg
This album is getting Buzz like it’s a group album
As a huge Bone thugs N harmony fan I can tell you that this is want most fans wanted a duo album from Krayzie and Bizzy, nothing against the other members we just wanted to see what type of album these two could make and it seems like it is going to be the best Bone album in about ten years from the snippets and singles I’ve already heard. Hopefully other members will be mature and show support I know for sure Wish will, not sure about Layzie even though he maybe on the album, he shows a lot of immaturity at times deep down I think he was always a little jealous that krayzie bone emerged as the most talented member in the group at times during their trio dayz krayzie bone carried the group as far as on songs, kray and bizzy are the most talked about Bones not sure Layzie has been a fan of that especially lately
Layzie never supports anything Krayzie does solo wise New Waves has a buzz behind it you would think lay would show some support he hasn’t mentioned the album yet which is ashamed layzie solo projects never really take off and I do agree with you I think he maybe a little bothered that his solo stuff is not getting any buzz and that this new duo album seems like it is going to be a huge success. Lay seems to half ass his stuff though like Perfect Timing has been coming soon for 5 years, so sometimes Bone fans don’t take lay serious because he does not follow through, he has to realize that Bizzy and krayzie success helps him too it’s all for the Good of Bone Thugs N Harmony as a group
i been a huge fan since they came out. (not faces of death) Bizzy and krazie were my favorites , bizzy more but lazy bone was hard on a whole bunch of tracks hes smooth . e 1999, 1st of the month the weed song , and so much more im going to stop. but they all seemed to be some what jealous and non supportive of each other at times minus wish bone . krazie seemed like the one who always wanted to keep shit going
I’m feeling that new song they got
I think bizzy said that jokingly Bone is not into that beef stuff anymore they have moved on to bigger and better things
Because the other members are not as good as they used to be is not the reason this duo album is being made, this album has been
in the making for 10 years a lot of fans wanted to see this especially after seeing layzie and bizzy drop like 2 good duo albums, most just wanted the combination of these 2 it has nothing to do with the other members
This album needs to drop like Now!!!
Bone Bone Bone Bone Bone Bone Bone Bone!!!!
New Waves will be just that new waves this album will be a different sound from btnh can already tell it will be inspiring
The btnh fans that still wanna hear that hard stuff annoy me they still want the cats to be talking mo murda and running with the ak it’s not them anymore they have grown.
Nothing but love for for Krayzie and Bizzy I will be copping this first day it’s out gotta get the hard copy to go
along with my collection.
they never really fell off they just need to stop with that phill collins sound. that home shit was wack. they are a group and just hearing any of them for a whole cd is to much they need krazie lazie and bizzy to just go off
Feels like Im gonna love this album I like when Bone used that Funky jazzy sing song harmony I like that style even
more than their patton rapid fire flow
Bizzy still smoking on them rocks. Ugly ass malatto
LOL You Ok you sound like a hater be careful once you become a hater it’s hard to go back, some of the side effects include
being frustrated when others are doing good, never developing healthy relationships with the opposite sex, happy when others suffer pain, blaming everything on Lebron James.
Only think they are doing this album without the others bc they fell off I don’t think that’s the case krayzie bone said years ago that him and B were going to do this fans were asking for it after Layzie and bizzy did the Bone bros album and fans wanted to know if bizzy and krayzie would ever do a duet album.
Coming home got me excited for New Waves
I been wondering when will it drop tho they don’t have a release date yet.
Gonna be fire,fire,fire…idgaf..coming home is on the level of i tried…the album needs to drop now..i cant wait..finally gonna be a refreshing energizing feel to this wack music game…bone for life bitch ass motherfuckers
Yea they need to give us a release date asap I hope it drops In April
Wow. So I get to diss this wack iggity spigity group AND knock a crack head tge fuck out, all while one upping a dare? Where do I sign up?
827 That you damn gotta get off that hating it’s not good for your health lol
Production for coming home is top notch hopefully rest of album production matches it if so this could potentially be a huge banger
Bone Thugs is Back!!!
Neva went no where..
As a long time hip hop fan I always bought Bone thugs, outkast, nas, one thing I can say about these dudes is as good as they have been in the past, their sound is maturing which is a great thing, I love their positive uplifting material.
Greatest Rap Group Ever
The other members are not as good as they use to be especially my man wish, but the only one I would say fell off is prob Big Wish. Flesh is actually really good when he raps and not scat rap like he does sometimes when he raps using his regular voice and and regular tone he can be just as good as Bizzy.
Legendary
Good to see BTNH dropping some new heat
remember that infamous radio interview with Bizzy dude was talkin all kinds of crazy.. i guess thats what all them drugs and being diddled as a little boy does to you.. anyways, to me “Creepin On Ah Come Up/E.1999 Eternal/The Art Of War” define BTNH and everything released since has been uninteresting to me. Cleveland is the city where we come from so run..
Every rapper and singer has had their moment of frustration he was no different that was years ago tho. Some of their best work has been after those albums but those projects weren’t as big so people just assume without checking. Ressurection and S and L was dope to not to mention Bizzy solo The Gift and Independent group album called T.H.U.G.S is one of their best overall albums
not True Jordan face is correct they we’re mediocre after those albums
Your opinion, The Gift is Bizzy best solo album that was after those albums, Thug Mentality 1999 was a dope album that was after. Ressurection was a solid album far from mediocre to me, Thug world order was another solid album, T.H.U.G.S was a great album it was independent, Bizzy drop a lot of albums too many and some of them weren’t good, Layzie Thug by nature another solid album, Krayzie bone A thug on da Line really good album. I don’t know if you guys are just casual bone fans , but I am a real fan and the biggest critic when they do something that I don’t consider good, to say they don’t have any great albums after art of war is way off.
Well spoken..
Well spoken.
Peso 313 and Jordan face is the same guy
No lie… I love BONE….so good….so real…they aint no fakes, and they are SO ORIGINAL! I love their sound man can’t wait for them to drop….hope they keep it ill
I love bone thug bc they would let be a bone member I want them know more about me than anyone on earth
they still got it after all them years…nice!
I know its not that important but damn i wish they can get award for that album !krayzies Ctd was great more great than some albums that got awards but werent that great at all !! Thats the sad thing here its cuz of the industry these days and we all know people are scared of whats real, whats true !!!
I really didn’t enjoy that album I thought the production was outdated, I hope he does another solo but scrap the CTD concept, let pozition produce the majority of it, pz beats seem dope as heck well at least the ones he plays on his IG sometimes. I never understood why he doesn’t drop at least one solo a year he has the ability to drop at least 2 a year and 2 good ones, and then he will
play some really good stuff on periscope and never release it, he is my favorite rapper of all time sometimes I question is ambitions and work ethic, I feel like they all got comfortable they have achieve legendary status and stop focusing on dropping new great music they make money off their old music, apparel etc and new music doesn’t sell like it used to but original fans really want new music and bulk, this new album New waves seems like it’s going to be really good
Krayzie has 2 more albums coming just still dont know when !! lets hope its gonna be good and this album New Waves seems pretty dope but even so i still gets awards or something dude they deserved
I kno the big homie Pozition personally, I’ll let him know.
Ok then , also let him know he is really dope as a rapper and singer too, the only thing I don’t like is when he remix a song that they play on the radio over a million times, just my opinion but it’s tough to listen to a remix song when you hear the beat over and over on radio, he should remix songs seldom heard or non singles. I would rather hear original music from him anyway. Tell him just as a fan of his don’t stop singing, that song he was playing on his IG where he was singing something like, I’m just trying make it home it’s a long way, im just trying to make this money. That shit was dope that’s the style I would like to hear from him.
I still think the whole group minus Flesh is better together. Layzie’s nephew Dizzy is pretty dope too.
I would say the whole group minus wish, Dizzy is really dope, plotting and I need answers are my fav tracks from him.
The whole group is BOMB. Keep it up….Dat Cleveland Fool..said so.. 216 fo life….
Keeping kids off garbage music since 1994. BTNH is not just a sound, not just fam, not just a Statistic. They been places seen some s***, felt loss and proves time and again, faith and perseverance are a package deal. dedication to use the pain, standing for the voices who’ve been silenced. Searching for resolve through the passion of music. Giving a voice for those who aren’t heard, and inspiring those who feel hopeless, to stay strong and have faith, ways can change with open hearts. Sound waves travel to the ends of the earth and beyond. They aren’t just hip hop. They are movement! Lyrical miracles. Open your ears, open your heart! We warriors.
They still are rocking this! And that white girl they added is pretty bad ass.
yo yo i have been listening to your music since 1994 i have each and every album from group albums up to solo albums of every bone thugs member dvds everything there is to know about bone the group bone thugs-harmony derives from 5 group members bizzy, wish, flesh, lazie and krazie if one of those members is taken out or away then basically the bone circle isnt complete yall keep doing what you doing love yall music because it comes from the heart saloet
