Metro Boomin, Gunna, Jay Rock and many more have shared early reactions to Kendrick Lamar‘s latest diss aimed at Drake as their ongoing rap beef once again finds itself at the center of Hip Hop discourse.
On Tuesday (April 30), just a little over a month after Metro, Future and K.Dot’s “Like That” set in motion one of the most high-profile feuds in recent years, the Compton native released “euphoria” in response to Drizzy’s “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle” rebuttals.
In roughly six-and-a-half minutes, the 36-year-old MC covers a number of issues pertaining to his adversary’s public persona, from ghostwriting and cosmetic surgery to race and tough-guy gimmicks.

Gunna’s reaction is notable because he is name-dropped in the song (see below for specifics), and Metro of course helped spark the whole conflagration, as mentioned above. His answer seems to poke fun at Drake for his “make some drums” dig.

After a mellow, dreamy intro in which Kendrick refers to a “pathetic master manipulator” who is “paranoid,” “spiraling” and “fabricating stories on the family front,” the song kicks into life with a sudden beat switch.

From there, the Pulitzer Prize winner throws jab after jab at the 6 God and even accuses him of sending a cease and desist letter in an attempt to have “Like That” taken down.

Context: J. Cole and Drake toured together earlier this year and teamed up on “First Person Shooter.” Melly is accused of murdering his two close friends and crew members.
