Tyler, The Creator always gives credit where credit is due, and he’s dished out some praise to Robin Thicke‘s son Julian after he covered Tyler’s 2017 single, “See You Again.”

The Kali Uchis-assisted song from Tyler’s Flower Boy album has regained popularity as of late after going viral on TikTok. In an Instagram post on Saturday (June 10), Robin shared a video of his son with ex Paula Patton performing the song at a school function.

“I still have water in my eyes and lump in my throat because I’m overwhelmed by your voice, spirit and talent,” Thicke wrote. “You and Peyton sound so great together. I am so impressed by you. That was an incredible performance at any age. My son Julian Fuego Thicke!!! Wow! @feliciathegoat”

In the comments, Tyler commented: “super cool!”

It’s been a great year for Tyler, The Creator, and the Grammy-winning rapper reportedly balled out on a swanky new mansion in Bel-Air worth $13million back in March. Located in the glitzy Los Angeles neighborhood, the home was originally built in the early 1970s but was rebuilt from the ground up last year, and boasts a white stucco and wood-sided structure.

Across 5,000 square feet of living space, the house features four bedrooms and six bathrooms, Brazilian wood floors finished in white oak, along with high ceilings and steel-case windows.

Tyler’s new home spans nearly an acre of land, with views of the ocean and city lights from most rooms across three levels.

The property also features a smart-home system, state-of-the-art movie theater and step-up cigar lounge, along with a sleekly designed kitchen with an eat-in island.

Outdoors, there’s a private and entertainment-ready backyard with a saltwater pool surrounded by a wood deck, as well as a dry sauna, fire-pit, bar and barbecue setup. The garage can fit four cars, with additional parking space also available.

The purchase comes shortly after Tyler sold his previous Bel-Air home to a couple of New York-based designers. Less than a year after buying the property for $7.9million, he listed it on the market for $7million in December 2022.
