ScHoolboy Q has made a bold admission about his upcoming Blue Lips album, claiming that Freddie Gibbs outshined him on their collaboration.
The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper confirmed that Gangsta Gibbs will appear on his forthcoming project while responding to a tweet from him on Wednesday (February 14).

Freddie Gibbs also recently turned heads with his guest verse on “Back to Me” from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s joint album Vultures 1.
After the Indiana native debuted his verse at the duo’s album listening party in December, many fans hailed it as the “verse of the year.”

“‘Just turned a bird bitch to my ex, like I was Elon’. They can’t fw Gibbs,” one fan wrote on X, quoting lyrics from his verse.
Another said: “Freddie and Ye on a song together is actually crazy. So happy, Freddie got one of my favourite verses from this year no lie.”
Meanwhile, ScHoolboy Q shared the release date and tracklist for Blue Lips earlier this month which is set to arrive on March 1.
He later released two singles as part of the rollout: “Back in Love” featuring TDE labelmate Devin Malik and “Blueslides,” the title of which pays tribute to Q’s late friend and collaborator Mac Miller.

Q also reflects on Mac’s 2018 death on the song, rapping: “Lost a homeboy to the drugs, man, I ain’t trying to go backwards/ But I realize that [shit] hurts and think, ‘Was it worth it?’/ Man, I gotta shake this shit, wake up and move with a purpose.”
Blue Lips will serve as ScHoolboy Q’s first album in five years following 2019’s CrasH Talk.
