Plies has sought out some dating advice from Common after the Chicago rap legend was spotted with Jennifer Hudson.

On Sunday (December 31), the Florida native took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “Bruh I Gotta Meet Common & Ask Him How He Keep Pulling This Sh*t Off (With The Women)?? #BruhBeSnappinEffortlessly.”

In the past, Common has been in relationships with a number of high-profile women including Erykah Badu, Serena Williams, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson and Angela Rye.

His latest romance with Hudson appeared to be confirmed when the two attended an NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers together over Christmas.

Speculation surrounding the duo began when they filmed a movie called Breathe together in 2022.

Common and Hudson have so far not confirmed the relationship, but the singer and actress was recently asked about their status as a couple and also about whether they would collaborate musically.

“I like how you slipped you saw some vacation. Really?” Jennifer said with a smile in a brief chat with TMZ. “I don’t know about that part but it’ll be dope to see two Chicagoans together. But I don’t know about that. We’ll see. It could be [awesome].”

The interviewer then flat-out asked Jennifer to clear up the rumors, to which she said: “Rumors say a lot of things. But he’s a beautiful man. I will give you that. That’s for certain.”

Hudson also said of the relationship during an interview with Gayle King: “It’s a bit more sophisticated than boo’d up. […] It’s definitely not an entanglement.”

She also told Entertainment Tonight: “People create their narratives of it, and it’s like, OK, you know, how you feel. We shot a film together, and he played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments.”

Jennifer Hudson was previously engaged to actor, lawyer and former professional wrestler David Otunga, with whom she shares a child.

Amid their separation, Hudson accused Otunga of “shoving” her during an argument. The Dreamgirls star was granted an order of protection which she later rescinded when she refused to press domestic battery charges against the ex-WWE wrestler.
