Papoose fired off the “Alphabetical Slaughter” single in 1999. Roughly 20 years later, the veteran Hip Hop artist is back with an updated version of the track titled “Numerical Slaughter.” Only this time — as the title suggests — he tackles numerals.

Produced by DJ Premier, “Numerical Slaughter” finds Pap rattling off his bars while weaving numerals into each verse, beginning with the number one.

“’Alphabetical Slaughter’ has been out for 20 years and I’m still engaged by fans on social media and approached by fans on the street telling me how it’s their favorite Hip Hop song,” Pap tells HipHopDX. “The concept that I came up with for ‘Alphabetical Slaughter’ is still being replicated to this day.

“Since fans love and appreciate it so much, I wanted to give them something similar on my Underrated project — but flip it. I would not have done this without DJ Premier’s involvement. He’s my favorite producer of all time and someone I consider a great friend.”

“Numerical Slaughter” is taken from Pap’s upcoming Underrated project, which features Preemo, Statik Selektah, Ron Browz and his crowd rockin’ wife Remy Ma, Pete Rock, Casanova and Musiq Soulchild.
