All Swizz Beatz wanted to do was show his superstar wife Alicia Keys a little love. While on vacation in Egypt, the multi-platinum producer shared an Instagram photo paying homage to the queen in his life.
“Attention all MEN‼️” he wrote. “You shouldn’t be jealous or upset if you have a Queen that’s successful , Smarter or better than you! What you should do is thank the most high or step your game up!
“I can’t stand when I see brothers jealous of the lady they’re with that shit is very weak!!!!! #Realtalk Lady’s keep doing you.”
That’s when things took a negative turn. Some people on social media seized the opportunity to call Keys a “home wrecker” for starting up their love affair while Swizz was still married to Mashonda Tifrere.
Tifrere and Swizz separated in 2008 and their divorce was finalized in 2010, the same year Swizz married Keys.
In 2010, Tifrere addressed her ex-husband’s marriage to Keys in an Sister 2 Sister Magazine article.
“We were married,” she said. “Sleeping in the same bed and having sex every night while he was seeing Alicia. Okay? It was an affair. 100 percent. I don’t know why people want to change that rule so much. We had just had a kid, for crying out loud. Our child was 8 months. I found out about Alicia two days before my son turned 1. They had been doing their thing for months before that.”
But, it looks like it’s all water under the proverbial bridge. Swizz pointed out that Tifrere was actually on the same Egyptian vacation with them and their children.
“Haters would say home wrecker or I got stolen like some bank robbery to make them self feel good but [eyeroll emoji],” he wrote in the comment section. “Meanwhile @mashondatifrere is on vacation with us as a blended fam living our best life and y’all still saltine like Nuts.
“How the hell ya’ll more upset than us. GET A LIFE!!!! Love from Cairo.”

He and Mashonda has long time problems, the marriage couldn’t be salvaged, he had actually had a kid with another woman while they were dating/living together, and Mashonda didn’t publcily say anything and still married him. You also don’t report the fact that before dating Alicia, Swizz had a kid with another woman, a London’s based singer, and Mashonda did not talk about that when it happened either. You also don’t note that Swizz had also said that, among their issues (which was also reported that involved money, and there were attorneys involved), Mashonda has Max rhino choose between the marriage and his son. You also don’t post the fact that Mashonda later cleared the air and said she shouldn’t have gone off on impulsive, emotional comments, and regretted things said about Alicia, as well as condemned trash tabloid sites and trolls who felt the need to comment on something they know nothing about and hate on Alicia and wish bad stuff on her including her then pregnancy. You also don’t post the fact that they have for years been a supportive loving family and Mashonda herself said she loves Alicia and they both have supported each other and their kids/family continuously. But facts and positive reality doesn’t get clicks nor attract the lowlifes you need who live off negativity does it?

Don’t get it twisted. Mashonda is a beautiful, respectful, and classy woman. Therefore, don’t disrespect her. She has matured and accepted the fact that the man she once loved was more fascinated with fame than his beautiful, simplicity wife. Life goes on. She accepted that humiliation and she suffered the pain but from all that she was put through publicly, she managed to pull herself together and she got over him and his new wife. As a result, she managed to turn this negative situation into something positive. Not just for herself but for the world to understand. She doesn’t have to be like Alicia and Alicia doesn’t have to be like her. Mashonda has become a successful powerhouse because not too many women and men can get back up after being knocked down and get back in the ring and become victorious. Also, to those of you making negative comments about Alicia Keys having Mashonda and Swizz, get a grip on life and stop the negativity and jealousy. Mashonda, Alicia, and Swiss, are truly trying to correct their lives and demonstrate to the world that they are decent human beings and that people in their situation can learn how to do the same with their similar situation.
