Coi Leray and Metro Boomin have teamed up for a new track, “Enjoy Yourself,” which was recently shared in a surprising place: an ad for body spray.

Though the track has been available online for a month, the bouncy and cheerful song appeared in a “Fit Check” commercial for AXE body spray that debuted toward the end of last month. The song was made exclusively for the company.

The commercial is part of the brand’s latest “Smell Finer. Get Closer” campaign.

“This is a major moment for the AXE brand — a great new fragrance launch with Black Vanilla, supported by the release of a campaign featuring two of the most on-trend artists in music and a fantastic track that we know fans are going to love,” said Caroline Gregory, global brand director, AXE at Unilever.

Coi isn’t the only artist Metro has been collaborating with recently. The producer just shared that more work with Future is on the way.

The duo recently delivered the announcement fans have been waiting to hear for over a year, and they recruited Prodigy for a posthumous assist.

On Friday (March 8), they released a trailer that was soundtracked by an excerpt from an interview given by the late Mobb Deep rapper just ahead of his 2008 incarceration on charges of criminal possession of a firearm.

“Got a lot of fuckin’ garbage ass rappers out here running around,” P is heard sayin in the World Star Hip Hop clip. “Like, these n-ggas ain’t supposed to be rapping, son. This game was meant for a select number of fews, a select few. And that’s what it is today, man. I don’t give a fuck, ain’t nothing changed. Always remember that. You see we still here doing it. Ain’t nothin’ changed. Fuck all these n-ggas, man.”

As Prodigy speaks, a white Bentley truck is seen driving down a deserted highway before meeting up with an identical SUV. Pluto and Metro each hop out of one of the vehicles, dressed in matching suits, before the title We Don’t Trust You appears on screen with two dates underneath it – March 22 and April 12.

As the clip ends, Future is heard rapping a hook that echoes the title.

According to a press release sent to HipHopDX, the two release dates don’t indicate a single and an album, but two albums, with We Don’t Trust You being slated to arrive first. The projects also celebrate over ten years of collaborations between the two Atlanta-based creatives, an ongoing partnership which culminated in the 2x platinum single “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” from Metro Boomin’s 2022 album Heroes & Villains.

Shortly before the announcement, Metro went viral for all the wrong reasons when a video emerged of him preparing food at a cook out. During the clip, a woman went up to the producer and appeared to ask him to sniff her middle and index fingers, which he did.

He then said in the clip: “I was trying to focus in on the smell in my mind but there weren’t no smell.”

The woman in the video then posted the video on X along with the caption: “If Young Metro don’t trust you, it ain’t good coochie,” garnering over two million views.
