Since we seem to have an Oscar Grant/Sean Bell situation annually, you can never really have too many of these types of songs/videos.

Tight video concept… Too bad the message is fucked up. Unity amongst east and west, but they still separate black and white… Long way from home.
I wouldn’t say that… they just speaking on the pride of being who they are, that’s all!!
I’d agree with Dale, Unity ain’t talking about black/white separation. He’s talking about having some pride where people come from. He’s all about love man
Alright, appreciate yall responding without trying to flame me. One line in the video was enough for me to make that comment. Skip to 2:00 when Unity starts..
“Something how about the black man speaks, makes the white man intimidated.”
I can’t see any other reason to spit this other than to create separation. School me if ya’ll feel something different.. Other than that, they clearly spit in the chorus east and west unite, but continue with my black people.
Why not all people if that’s how they feel?
Wolfman maybe you would understand the day that a white man is gunned down in a subway by a Black officer, witnessed by dozens of people only to later on get away with the murder of an innocent, unarmed white youth….Maybe if that happened in the white community more often…scratch that…maybe if that happened in the white community AT ALL you would understand that line a bit more.
Ok… I’ll admit, that line that Wolfman is talking about has always stood out to me since the first time I heard this song… THAT’S THE POINT!!! It’s supposed to grab you and slap you in the face with your own insecurities… judging by how caught up you are by this line, I would guess that you might be a little intimidated yourself… no disrespect… this music is designed to make you check yourself honestly
To put it in perspective, Plaxico Burress did more time for accidentally shooting himself in the leg, than Mehserle did… I think part of the reason my Mehserle acted the way he did must be the result of his own fear, based on his perception of Oscar Grant… that fear (which fuels racism) is the intimidation that Unity is talking about… – Sok The Virgo
