    1. When u rely on lyrics they way do (which as a decades long rap fan I realize the irony of such a statement) it’s really beneficial to your show to have everyone know the words to the song. Or most show-goers. Someone I know that went to see them before said they cut the music off for Crooked when he raps so you can hear what he saying. Sure enough, did again. The only benefit was praise of him for lyrical prowess yet zero beat riding. Joey is the only one with a melody in his flow so there is no continuity in them doing even one song live on stage. Rapping and entertaining people have been a delicate balance that is rarely on showcase in the Entertainment Industry. Because in all honesty… there is no “Rap” industry, and that’s where the confusion from “rappers” comes in. For a sign of this “confusion” I write of, check Joe Budden’s recently released “Slaughtermouse”, where he expresses confusion on this exact matter, entertaining.
