    1. Agree with you 1000%. Trap music is cancer towards the African American community. No wisdom, mo maturity, no common sense. This article talks too much about TI being the originator of trap music but also feel Scarface should also get recognition for trap music. That man isnt from Atlanta nor he hasnt used the term trap but hes still an originator. Plus Im hoping that none of those trap stars get recognition on NFL, NBA, Grammys because it’ll damaged Hip Hop once again.

      1. If he didn’t use the term why should he get recognition? Scarface is great and extremely influential but you don’t make sense.

    2. Desiigner sold 15k he FLOPPED Remy Ma FLOPPED The LOX FLOPPED Joey A$$ FLOPPED Raekwon FLOPPED TALIB FLOPPED . New York Hiphop isn’t selling to the point some are wondering if New York is a part of Hiphop anymore . New York can’t blame Trap Music for its decline . It’s just that The Streets , Clubs and Youth don’t listen to NEW YORK HIP-HOP

      1. The thing is nobody listens to your gay music…new york hip hop is as hip hop as can be…not that gay music like designer that u are into tho

      2. New York music is at an all time low because their beat selection has been garbage. Really its just about switching the beats up. Watch when Jay or Nas drop. All the way up had a sick beat thats why it was so popular.

    3. It’s sad 2 say but New York might not b a part of hiphop anymore . I don’t know any that listens to NY Hiphop .

    4. big sean’s bounce back is double platinum . and sean isnt trap . people just don’t listen to new york hip hop .

    5. I live in Atlanta and I’ve been going to the clubs here since 02… Atlanta music has gotten progressively worse from then to now. It went from Trap music to crunk music, then there was snap music, swag music and now this alternative version of trap. It’s actually killing the urban nightlife scene. Everyone is in the club dressed up, bored to death, pulling out phones, and wondering why the party sucks…Trap music is the elephant in the room that no one wants to address…carry on

      1. When the club turns up its to trap music . Lies Lies Lies you tell . Clubs play trap all night . Trap is the party . Trappers getting all the money .

        1. Lol, you’re absolutely right…It turns up for 30 minutes to an hour…Then it dies, because no one wants to hear trap music anymore. It’s a party starter and a party finisher. The clubs that don’t play trap, snap, or swag music have been around for decades..And the ones that do…they fizzle out and die within a couple years.

    6. ti invented it
      jezzy and gucci perfected it

im they were grinding all at the same time so who knows ti just got famous first

    7. isn’t it funny that millions of people all races listen to rap yet blacks are the only ones who kill eachother for jordans

      1. so true i listen to gangster rap everyday. i know plenty of people that do as well. yet we dont grab a gun and shoot someone for now reason. Why is that? blacks complain that gangsta rap makes them act crazy but why does it have 0 affect on other races? also it doesn’t explain the millions of blacks dead via gang violence before NWA

    8. Where my Scarface GOAT piece Justin?

And no it’s not ridiculous for a Luda GOAT piece. He’s essentially Reggie Noble 2.0…

    9. Is the Trap music Trapping Trappers who’ve Trapped, in their own traps? Yes.

    10. trap is just gangsta rap, people just want to over analyze shoot em ,up selling drugs ,fucking bitches , it has all been said before rappers just mumble it now. and who ever wants to think its different . wrong same shit

    11. Who gives a fuck really which city, which coast the music comes from? It seems like some of you guys listen to shit just cause it’s in your area. Maybe it’s because i’m european but for me, good music is good music. I’ve always loved the ol’ school NY-rap but also listened to The Pharcyde, Blackalicious, Dilated Peoples, OutKast, Scarface, Common, etc etc the list goes on. Rap is worldwide and forever will BUT trap music and mumble rap definitely sucks imo. But if u like it fine, just don’t say shit like NY is dead and this and that. That’s so far from the truth. Peace

    12. I think it’s real important to find out who created trap music so we can punch his wack ass. For real, shit’s horrendous.

    13. Trap music was wack from the start. This shit nowadays make vanilla ice, hammer, and pm dawn seem classic by comparison lol. How the fuck we let it get to this?! No substance to any trap shot I ever heard. Ok they got the $ but is anyone going to remember the music? Those who listen to trap will look back and wonder why they wasted their lives on this bullshit. It’s the boy band music of hip-hop. Shit I even apologize to puff daddy for calling him wack all those years but his shit is now considered dope compared to this shit we got now. Sad sad days.

    14. IT’S SAD 2 SAY BUT NEW YORK MIGHT NOT BE A PART OF HIPHOP ANYMORE . I DON’T KNOW ANYONE THAT LISTENS 2 NEW YORK HIP-HOP .

    15. you never hear ny Hiphop in the streets , club and the youth don’t listen to it . ny can be looked @ as not a part of Hiphop .

    16. The problem is new yorks new batch of artist sucks . They couldn’t carry on what the foundation was built on . And so ny music sucks .

    17. Trapping mostly use by guys in the hood for slanging dope out of crack house then someone used it as a term for selling music a style the word trap doesn’t sound like you would want to be involved in trapped like a animal or trapped in poverty ignorance take your pick this is all surrounded in this term nothing positive from these studio gangsta’ s and studio dope dealers , I will give Tip his props for being in his children life and putting out good music from time to time

    18. None of those albums deserve an award for anything except selling albums to idiots. Anyone who believes that somehow they’re making quality music is responsible for keeping the bar low for beats and rhymes. The reason why Outkast won (aside from mad white people digging their music) is because they’re different, intelligent and still reps where they’re from. They TRY to expand the culture, the music and the concepts. Trap music is trapped in the trap because their artists don’t care about doing much else except for bitches, money and the things that money can buy.

      1. Well said its garbage low bar stripper music that anyone can do. It took skill out of the equation. The sad part is most blacks love this stuff and really forgot about the high standards of the culture. Once again music pushes are lowest form to make money. They got rid of all artist that had anything to say other than overrated Kendrick Lamar or J cole who are pop starts.

    19. The problem is NY stopped being original and creative and starting falling for the horrible southern trends of music. The South is awful on the commercial level with a few ok artists. NY has very few really good underground artists. They all sound like the battle rap circuit with slow talking and gun play over corny beats. Then the other cats sound like corny trap artists. There is great hip hop coming out everyday that is not on the radio or coming out of NY.

    20. Your summary on Trap music is fucking genius. You nailed it. I hope you’re in your early 20s. We need more intelligent brothas who see through the fuckery. SO MUCH RESPECT! @allstreetlooks IG/Twitter

    21. I’m from Atlanta and I love Atlanta and applaud the South for making meals out of scraps and maintaining control of the charts, but maaaaan, summa’ this Trap Music is straight up shullbit!!! I give Future, Migos, and a few others some credit for innovating, but from an artistic standpoint, most of it is hot garbage juice with maggots in it. The maggots are eating the minds of kids who need and deserve more the people they look up to. I’m understand everybody’s just trying to eat, but as a fan of Hip-Hop, I hope Trap fades into the distant sunset very, very soon.
