In My City: Denver Full Series

“In My City…” is city-based video series that will examine Hip Hop culture in smaller US markets. It begs the question, what happens to the people in the middle? What is the underlying culture of cities like San Antonio? What do artists from Denver sound like and where do they find their influences? What do…

    1. Im pretty active in Denver Hip Hop, I’ve never, ever, ever seen these cats. Pretty sure they from Colorado Springs. Yall didn’t do any type of research into the actual Denver hip hop community before yall put this out?

      1. I’ve been working with them for over 7 years now Tef is from the springs hyp is from Denver they brought their styles together and formed TFE and hhdx already knows the history of where they came from they’re just making a statement for the entire city to finally be noticed….this kind of attitude is why people in Denver never make it tho bc there’s too many people that wanna hate on someone else getting the shine….join the movement so we can all eat together man there’s no need to hate on it

      2. So if your gonna leave the first comment on here and talk about homework and say your “pretty sure they are from the springs” ect ect… Just know your %50 wrong as J just told ya Tef is from the springs, Here is a true fact for you. People lie and numbers don’t! Who then if your active in the hip hop scene in Colorado should be featured? Working together puts a state on a map and we help other artists, groups, models ect ect get the tools and resources they need to achieve there dreams. Top Flite is not just two ppl, it’s thousands of people, and soon to be millions!I mean really would you like it if I just got up on one of your videos and said I never heard of this dude I’m pretty sure he must be from Pueblo or Trinidad… We reppin COLORADO no matter what city! I am willing to check anyone out and make collabs happen, now is the time for our state to work together. REAL TALK!

      3. Honestly my peeps are some of the biggest in the Denver game. They both have been signed by big labels and wrote songs for big names like Snoop, Twista and Lil Jon that actually sold millions. And to be honest we never heard of them. Not knocking them but Denver has bigger names that should’ve been spotlighted

    2. That is dope! These guys have been working hard to put Denver on the map in the music industry. Keep it up, looks like a good series so far.

    3. Love these guys. Saw them at the KS107.5 show and they killed it!!! Been hooked ever since. Love the style and passion they give off. Can’t wait to see what’s next to come!

    4. Hope this series is gonna have Trev Rich or Prius, then fools are putting on…… interstate ike is a local legend too he been in it years

    5. GOOD JOB TFE. You all deserve it, you have all worked hard to get where you are. Keep pushing and continue representing denver, and making great music. ..

    6. it’s great to see our city being exposed in different ways. Keep kill’n it TOP FLITE, much love and respect!

    7. was considering going to denver for memorial day weekend 2016. wasn’t sure if there was any dope night-life tho. anyone got suggestions on spots to hit? lookin for soul, r&B and hiphop spots. cool lounges and or party/festivals during that weekend.

    8. I was there at the big show they both opened up for back in 2007, I have seen these two come so far and I am very honored to have been apart of it too! I have pics from the night they linked up, Hypnautic and King Tef don’t forget where they both have came from and they always give credit where its due. They have paved a path for so many ppl to be successful in this business, we literally hand contacts over. Will provide ways and knowledge for other artists, groups, models ect ect to make goals and meet them. There music is real life, it’s real Hip-Hop! It really is Colorado’s time to be put on the map and this is just one of several groups in Colorado to do so, in my eyes these two are the collaboration kings out here. like Hyp says “its because of our haters that were that much greater” Keep up the good work team and knowI am on point and gonna be on the grind again more then I ever have. LETS GET IT IN!

    9. Truly inspiring.. I’ve watched yall for many years as you know, and to see every necessary step thatneeds to be takento get to this point, you guys have done, is remarkable. And Tef all the years you’ve been sayin Colorado Stand up.now is the time everyone needs to finally stand the fukk up!!! You guys didn’t have to make our city a focal point, but u did anyway. And it will be something that a lot of artists here will be able to experience the ripple effect that comes from it! Tonight, tomorrow, and for your future to come, I salute TFE 150%

    10. We are over thankful for all the love from everyone re-posting, commenting and talking about the HipHopDX.com “My City” documentary yesterday. We’ve been giving our blood sweet and tears to the music for a long time and we are only getting started, so “THANK YOU”. It’s sometimes hard to be crazy excited with all these shootings going on and the deaths of those close to us to the one’s i’ll never meet, so close to home to all over the world. Unfortunately history repeats itself time and time again and the only thing that can grow or change is us as people. Music saved our life in so many ways and I believe it’s what helps everyone in good and bad times so that’s why I never give it less than 1000%. So today and every day we continue to pray for the world and continue my journey to open doors so us as people can grow. Much Respect out to HipHopDx and the whole team for taking the time to see what Top Flite Empire and Colorado is all about !!

    11. The Chronicles have been laying down some ground work in colorado also within the last 6-7 years! id love to see them on this series s/o Courier, Jaxzen, Docta Mario, Ena-G!

    12. This is dope but honestly there are bigger talents in Denver. Theres a dude that Lil Jon, Snoop, E-40, Yuck Mouth have all bought beats for and wrote songs for them that literally changed the game. There’s dudes that were signed to Ruff Ryders. They can do a bigger story than just one group that really isn’t as popular as they make them. That is all.

    13. this is dope I really thinks the city needs this, this is just a start to shine light on all that’s going on here we have a huge scene
going all the way back to M.N.L.D., and RIE RIE, and Nyke Loc all the way to TFE, D.A.S. (I seen yalls banner), Trev, Pries and all. This is just a start for whats to come DENVER’S GOT NEXT believe that

    14. denver is just a bunch of whitebois rock climbin and shit. aint no hip hop out there worth shit. other than weed, colorado is fer the birds. suck a dick with AIDS on the tip if your feel different.
