    1. To me this was less of a battle than it was a comparison of rhyme schemes and style. I think it demonstrates both rappers have an uncanny ability to manipulate words and syllables to create effective rhymes. I think it also demonstrates the influence that eminem has had on Kendrick, as Eminem’s techniques occasionally manifest themselves in Kendrick’s. this is not a case of biting but more a reflection of Kendrick being a student of the game. He’s developed his old technique through predominantly his own creativity but also through applying variations of legends’styles.

    2. without dis 2 niggas be ruppish…I go with Kendrick since he knows how to switchn on diff flows and very meaningful lyrics..

      1. Kendrick Lamar is definitely an ill emcee, but when the competition is trash and the bar is set extremely low, artists like him tend to stand out more and get more praise.

      2. He’s definitely had the most hype behind him out of any new artist, and he’s overrated in the sense that he’s crowned as the savior of the west based off of 1 good LP. That being said, overrated doesn’t mean he’s bad. I’d much rather see artists like Kendrick being hyped up opposed to Wayne or French Montana.

    3. Lol…Em gitts the most annoying delivery!!!!…K.Dot for this one and hes not the best ever’their will never be a best sorry guys!!!

      1. @J- thats a FACT too. im white who loves music and when it comes down to talking about hiphop i dont even rly talk 2 black ppl about that genre no more.. bc EVERYTIME i ask a black guy their favorites or top 5 they gimme bullshit like wayne or gucci or migos ect ect

i talk to more white ppl about rap bc they know wtf their talking about.

      2. First of all you’re both worng blacks listen to these guys and white people know SHIT about hip hop most of the time. All they talk about is white rappers and you cant name five white rappers out right now better than kendrick, j cole, drake, joey bad, chance, logic or big krit. So cut it out.

      3. They both once stated… “I don’t do white music, I on’t do black music” music is not racial, it is a place for expression!

    4. It sounds weird but eminem is under rated. Read into his bars and you won’t find any better lyricist. Kendrick is dope and I love his music, and it’s difficult to conpare him to Em because of how different their flows are. If you’re judging on who’s the better lyricist though, you can’t not choose eminem.

    5. Eminem is the greatest rapper of all time….yes..hes white…. and some of you dont like that…but listen to his lyrics and the way he puts them together…without a doubt he is the greatest.Kendrick is good too..but he aint in the same level as shady.

    6. Pick a winner between Em and Kendrick? Aint gonna happen..at least not by me. They are my favorite rappers in modern day hip-hop. Lyrically, they are neck to neck..creative beasts; with one crucial difference–time in the game. Em is a veteran, and is one of rap’s greatest, who has solidified his lyrical place within the game. Now, it’s Kendrick’s turn to make a lasting mark..and he definitely has the potential to go down as one of rap’s most influential MCs.

    7. He forgot about m.a.a.d city and the spiteful chant from kendricks but em is still on top otherwise kendricks is second

    8. its too soon to make the comparison, there more variety of songs to choose Em compared to Kendrick and I;m both their fans. otherwise after listening to the control verse and Eminems ft Kendrick Love Game in that song they both evenly matched.

    9. You can’t compare them.. eminem is a veteran in the rap game.. listen to yellow brick road song lyrics and flows at its best

    10. Kendrick Lamar. He goes hard with lyrics. Don’t get me wrong Em is good but I think Kendrick is better. I think he brought the game back to its feet. Lately Em is lacking. And Kendrick is like the king of lrycist right now. Kendrick hasn’t been long in the game and his most famous album Good kid maad city is rap classic. Pretty impressive for someone who hasn’t been in the game long. I’m a K-dot fan and I’m supportin’

    11. Eminem is a legend, you all might argue but kendrick’s type of rap is more friendly.sorry to say but kendrick lamar is in league of his own..

    12. Kendrick is not bad but Eminem is in other league, his verse from Patiently Waiting is better than Kendrick’s whole carrier

    13. Both are great. But I think ems lyrics piece together really well whereas something about kendricks sounds a little off to my. Like syllables don’t add. Em stepped the game up alot and many people have risen. But I don’t quite think anyone has caught up yet. But thisbis all just opinion.

    14. One other thing that becomes clear while watching this video is how greatly Wayne has influenced Kendrick’s style

Says something for Wayne’s underrated skill on the mic

    15. I’m tired of hearing this eminem is the best of all time shit. NASIR MUTHAFUCKIN JONES is the greatest rapper of all time. So stop it. Em is top ten, 7 or 8 maybe but I can and will always have better rappers to name.

    16. Em took it, his metaphors go hard and very descriptive. It paints a clear picture while telling a very interesting story. As for Kendrick’s they are well put together but they don’t flow and doesn’t tell much of a story but meaningful nonetheless.

    17. Eminem is a legend no doubt probably the most lyrically of all time ….em is a wordsmith love the way he sets the mood with his music he is in top 5 of all time….then kendrick is the allstar of the current stage of hiphop…love his combination of his own personal story tellin and his sound ….now comparison i think em out of 1 out of 5 is 4.9 cause of his amazing wordplay and interesting combination of sound and lyrics…..kendrick 4.8 cause of his interesting sound and unique lyrics and flow ….em jus a little better cause of wordplay it beats kendricks not by a landslide but a overall final decision….but kendrick still has things to show us and time to do it em is pretty much all most done so in a couple of years everbody should do another COMPARISON and see who would win coming from a (kendrick fan)

    18. Eminem got that one don’t get me wrong kendrick is good but he’s not fucking with Eminem go play Rap good and you’ll…..

    19. Im an extreme em fan .. but if Kendrick Lamar is already being compared to em with only one album out that says alot

    20. U guys are dumb af eminem doesnt even rap about anything kendrick has actual talent you white people know nothing only listening to emine. Kendricksyrics are wat deeper he is a way better lyricist tham eminem.eminem raps about nothing

      1. ….are you serious rn, you must not know him that well. Listen to Mockingbird, When Im Gone, etc. He tells his story too. He even has a movie about it so lets shut that down real quick and oh btw im black, so apparently black people know nothing either.

    21. K-Rino is the best lyricist hands down like literally nobody can make a better story with better lyrics to make an all around smart song plus he has the most albums out and still making more.
      He puts anyone to Shame!

      1. Love K-rino, but gangsta nip is pretty crazy too. Both my all time faves. That’s horror rap doe, Em was able to hit you with some pop hop radio shit but come back at you with some drug induced beat yo moms kill your girlfriend type shit on the rest of the album! Daaaaamn son, GOAT!

    22. They are both awesome in different ways.. kendrick is deep and a pretty story teller, no doubt and still has a long career to go. Em is very technical when it comes to a worder play, when people try to talk smack, they should do some research, most of the most famous old school rappers, KRS, Nas, Rakim and many others think Ems dope. I am a hard core old school hip hop head and neither one is my favorite, but they are both in my top 10. You cant throw rappers in one box, just like DJs, they are good for different reason. It like comparing a great quarterback to a great safety, both are playing football, both are dope, but neither is close to the same. Like them both, it not against st the law. Rap has many different categories… Race has nothing to do with it, Dope is dope & Wack is wack. I also like people that respect hip hop legends and they both do that. Em loves the craft, he may rap about crazy stuff sometimes, but technically you can’t fade that fool. I rock with both of them, so it’s all good. Peace.

    23. Em killed it in that psychopath killer verse. I personally think that Kendrick can’t even compare to Em. At least not yet, maybe later on his career. And the verses chosen in this video for Eminem does not justify how great of a lyricist he is.

    24. You’ve gotta be kidding me…?
      Comparing Eminem to Kendrick Lamar…?
Not even in the same category. Eminem = Hall of Fame, top5 all time easy… Kendrick = top100, top50 if he’s lucky.
And I’m not even an Em fan, at all.
People talking about Em don’t have depth… the fk you talking about? Bet you were in the womb when Em came out, that’s the only way you could say such ignorant ass things.
Quick list off the top of the head…

      DMX > Kendrick
      Pac > Kendrick
      Big > Kendrick
      Pun > Kendrick
      Snoop > Kendrick
      Banks > Kendrick

Honestly, think with a level head about this. Kendrick has what? 3-4 songs that resonated on a level even close to lose yourself, stan, cleaning out my closet (I think that’s the name?), give a fuck, guilty conscience, the way I am… etc etc etc etc etc… I could go on for ages, then I could lapse into his features.

      COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEVEL.
This shouldn’t’ even be a discussion.

      1. You’ve got to be kidding me…? You can’t compare two men of differing styles. Not even in the same category. Kendrick: Underground, inspiring, complex lyrics, and unique sound… Eminem: influential, relatable, raps his mind. I’m a fan of both.Eminem has what? A couple songs about escaping a horrible family life, a heck ton of horror core, and a quick tongue? Kendrick has Mortal Man, U, I, The Heart Pt 2, Sing about me, I’m dying of thirst, His Pain II, Ab Soul’s Outro, Control, Unnamed, The blacker the berry, the art of peer pressure, keyshia’s song, the city, fragile, for sale, ETC ETC ETC. I could go on for ages. Why is this a discussion?

    25. How comes…comparin an underground artist n an established artist.. mentor…quite funny
brin on board a topic of discussion,
      as for ths,
      No comment

    26. who is kendrick in d 1st plce? A dawg dat has been dissed by a young teenage rapper (astro).claimin 2 b king of new york nd wanna battle with talented nd born god of rap,dis ain’t serious coz m ñ m wins d muthafucka

    27. Eminem is good his lines are dope

But the crown is taken by KDot.Lines are astonishing,Flow even better.

Think about it the best MC VS The best rapper of all time.

    28. you cant make this comparison cause they both rap differently sound different there style is different you cant compare them the results will be bias

    29. Eminem is way better pepole who say Kendrick is better its becouse he is newer when Kendrick goes diamond we might have a discussion but until then Eminem is the king or rap
