Does DOOM Have Hip Hop’s Most Hypocritical Fan Base?

    Let’s break it down.

    1. Great breakdown, especially the point near the end about “send out his doombots, which is exactly what we expected him to do anyways.” Doom based his character on Marvel’s Doctor Doom, who often sent out his “doombots” to commit his crimes for him. Doom is just doing what his namesake does. While I understand why fans are upset with MF Doom’s doombots, his show is on a whole different meta-level than the typical performer. It’s risky because it obviously alienates his fanbase, but it’s also a clever character performance.

    2. So this happend 5 years ago. I remember it. So why you talking like it just happend? Must be running out of articles shitting on Remy Ma

    3. Doom is absolutely super dope and is still one of my favorite rappers. I would rather Doom not perform than for me to pay to hear his imposter in concert. Doom has to give fans upfront notice if he plans to send out a fake Doom for his live shows. That way, we can make a decision to pay for the show or not based on advance information. Either that or have the fake Doom perform free of charge. What would Doom say if fans paid with fake money to see his shows????

    4. Knowledge and The Company Man hit it on the Head. Sending Doombots to rock at his shows is EXACTLY what Doom refers to in that Redbull interview. The focus is meant to be placed on the Music and not the Person/Character performing it. Like TCM says, that is what one would expect a Supervillain to orchestrate. Its this type of diabolical plot that makes Doom so endearing to his fanbase. Doom even spit, “Do a show at the same time watch it.” He is like the Keyser Soce of this Rap Ish. Lucifer in the Flesh. And we love him for it. At the very least he remains the most Original in the Game. Undisputed GOAT of The Underground.

    5. This dude is a gimmick and appears to be a joke no one in their right mind would call them self a fan of this clown ,watching this grown man sit up here in this mask talking crazy and making no sense we are living in serious no time for ignorance

      1. Wow. Trolling DOOM, Zev Love X from KMD. You are obviously just looking for a reaction, or maybe work for HHDX to get comments jumping. I’ll bite. You obviously don’t know shit about Hip-Hop. Doom produces most of his own shit, and writes all of his own rhymes. He also is a self made millionaire. He has been, and stays independent. The mask is not a gimmick, it is him relying on lyrics and beats, not visuals. Maybe listen to some of his music before hating. Troll. IRoCs suck BTW. An old piece of shit car that guzzles gas and should be recycled. A very appropriate name for you…

        1. To each his own this is a joke why you think he is never mention this dude is way to old to be running around in a silly mask I can count 50 other rappers way better than this dude and get your facts on the IROC is in production now and that’s fact, you need to get of this dudes di%k WoW sounds suspect if that’s your name , I race cars and IROC is just one of my winners wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          1. IROC is not a car moron. It is a racing tournament/classification. It is not “in production” it never has been, poser. You obviously are a poser and don’t race shit. Doom isn’t “running around” anywhere wearing a mask dummy. He is living in Barbados, and always records without a mask on. Doom is never mentioned? LOL. jay Z tried to do an album with him and there is Kool Keith in the interview giving him praise. I guess Keith/Octogon/Ultramagnetic sucks too? LOL. Who is “better” than Doom BTW? Some mumble rapper, Lil Yaghti or Drake? LOL. You are obviously confused. To each his own indeed. There is new Frake and officer Ricky to hate on. Plenty of justifiable arguments there. Trolling one of the last great underground rappers doing it is just low. Madlib/Ghostface/Jay Z/Gorillaz/Oddfuture/Danger Mouse/CEE Low/Mos Def/ Talib/KRS/Eminem all claim Doom as one of the greatest. But “production IROCs” here bows better, right? LOL

    6. Hip-Hop needs supervillains like Doom. His work may not always be flawless but he is a super hero.
Anyway, when will you cover Black Thought being a GOAT and ripping the game apart? I’m waiting

    7. Loved KMD bought both there albums and was truly hurt when sub died. With that said they had some classic and yes I would pay to hear them live along with Doom character

    8. You’re comparing two different things. DOOM is alive, Tupac is dead. People paid to see DOOM, not some hump wearing his mask while lip-syncing. And who cares whether fans prefer DOOM or Zev? That’s irrelevant. DOOM is my favorite of all time, but that doesn’t mean that sending out impostor’s isn’t a shitty thing to do to paying fans.
