You know what happened to Lupe and I agreed with that even though I’d say he was a far better MC than Wale.

DAMM….smh …. This is a hard one to rate .. I love the original so much that it is difficult to hear it any other way. The original being a story and this being fragmented ideas it’s hard to compare. They both had that laid back sun in the eye breeze in the face feel. One thing did stand out and the is WALE word play and syllable game is on point always. I wanted the lyric sheets to this from first listen cause I know I missed a couple things in there for real…. Entendres for days. Anyway I don’t think he made the classic better but I do feel he contributed and brought the track to a new generation. … I’m going to leave it at that…. I’m torn

this is actually not the first time he hopped on this beat. Matter fact, Lupe’s “Around The Way” wasn’t the first time he hopped on this beat either.
