      1. I agree with @nyrican75. Such a disgrace… Diddy must be hoping that the new generation of hip-hop listeners have never heard the original…

    1. diddy has never and will never find another notorious glorious big. it is truly a travesty that he allows other artists to spit over these classics tracks. disgraceful. it is truly emblamatic of the commercalization of rap today. no respect for the legacy of big. hence the corny nature of this song. these beats will forever be linked to big. cats cant handle them. the beats are too brooklyn, too nyc, too big.

    2. What wrong with y’all , nigga this hard, he’s channeling big ain’t nothin wrong with that, it’s good to hear him actually flowing. Nobody said nothin when push did a whole song like mase his flow his voice his punches but now it’s a problem foh this shit hard

    3. FOH!!!! So paying homage is a bad thing now??? Y’all seriously need to stop and i’m convinced its people who just don’t like Ross and are being extremely bias this is tough as fuck!!! #Unbias #Mastermind But if Kendrick of J. Cole re-did a Pac track out of respect and paying homage it would be dope! Lol haters really do have a job out here in these streets

      1. this aint payin homage, its biting and some shit should be left alone. you dont copy the mona lisa or the Picasso and call it your own shit.

      2. Don’t bother trying to educate the ignorant and uninformed idiots on this site, man. You’re correct that Rick is only paying homage to those that pioneered this shit.

    4. Some songs should just be left alone yo. You don’t remake a 2pac, Biggie, Jay-Z or Nas song and if you do you damn sure don’t put French fucking Montana on it! Shit is blasphemous. Diddy continues to rape Big’s legacy. Shit makes me sick.

    5. Ross needs to let these niggas rest in peace. From “Tupac Back” with Meek, to “I Feel like Pac / I Feel like Biggie” with Dj Khaled, enough if enough.

      He ain’t even saying nothing.

    6. niccas got no buzz so they straight up jacking old biggie songs for they albums. rap game so fucked up no on will even say shit about it cause he got diddy co-signing this fuckshit.

    7. Some songs should just be left untouched. Especially if you can’t make it better just leave it alone.

    8. Damn son I respect that Ross. I mind anyone doing it so long as they do it right. He came correct. That Biggie flow fitted him like a glove yo. Lol. I can’t even believe it. It’s ok jus admit it!!!!!!!!!

    9. How pathetic is it that at the young age 23 BIG was a better songwriter and more creative than William Roberts at 38?

    10. Christopher Wallace is rolling in his grave.

When the original song came out Ross errr William was slapping cuffs on drug dealers hands, locking them in cells, and searching their buttholes for the drugs he constantly refers to in his fairytale raps!

    11. could have at least flipped the beat a little, brought something original to the table…. i guess that ain’t rozays style, he’ll take your name, your beard, your life story even your songs.

    12. I was reading the comments on another site and most of the people think this is some dope original song and never even heard the original. Ross fans are 90’s babies.

    13. Niggas a fraud and a thief. He can’t even come up with his own shit for his album. Running out of ideas I suppose. Everything about this man is fabricated from the name, the look right down to the songs he stealing from other more talented artists who were half his age.

    14. If someone doesn’t call these niggas out on this bullshit I I’m done supporting all these rappers. Where’s Mase at, wheres Jay-Z wheres The Lox? Wheres Bone Thugs? Wheres Kim? Wheres Method Man?

How they let these guys do their mans legacy dirty like this?

    15. the most delusional rapper you know.

he probably stands in front of a mirror playing this while he tells himself he’s the re-incarnation of biggie smalls. i’m not impressed.

      1. at least when elzhi did that he put a spin on it and switched it up, thats how you pay homage, straight biting is not payin homage.

    16. Come up with your own shit maybe. These new rappers cant make their own classic records so they bite from the GOATS.

    17. Diddy is back and in a BIG way (no pun intended). Can’t fucking wait for his new album to drop later this year

      1. Have you heard the original? Sad thing is Diddy had a team of cat make this beat for him in the 90’s but now he’s giving himself sole credit.

    18. IS THIS THE SAME DUDE WHO WAS A POLICE OFFICER??? Get the fuck off with this shit…..I don’t understand how ppl listing to someone who was a cop and trying hard to be a gangster, not just gangster but trying to be like a legends that will never be replaced in this world (Christopher Wallace) I fucking hate when ppl fell for this like this, like listening to someone who are not them Self. The only fucking rapper6 I fuck with is young buck! I dont met to disrespect any one, its just the truth.

    19. u can hate and troll sites all day on ross fact is hes fucking relevant we aint got no BIG we got ross now and hes good . end of

      1. I hate Ross because he dissed Em and 50 and they are my heros and 50 is the first gangster Black guy that embraced us nerds and white people so I have a special place in my heart.

      2. butthurt ross groupies in full effect. face it thing song is weak and this is blasphemy. biggie is rolling in his grave.

      1. You mean he knows how to recreate a song from 17 years ago

Jay-z once said “They don’t paint pictures they just trace me”

Thats what Ross is doing here, he’s tracing BIG instead of making something new from scratch like BIG did.

    20. While this certainly isn’t terrible (How could it be, it’s basically a BIG song), I don’t think it’s all that great either and definitely no where near as good as the original. Whether it’s biting or paying homage these songs should be left to stand on their own.

    21. When Ross dies from a heart attack at the young age of 44 do you think niggas gonna be remaking any of his songs? LOL NAWWW SON

    22. White boys on here hating as usual, at least they not burning crosses or shooting unarmed teenagers so I guess this type of Hate can keep them occupied from worse hate.

      1. I’m dark skinned myself and this shit is not good. It’s not horrible but it’s un original and can’t even compare the BIG’s so it should have been a free download or a mixtape song, not an album cut.

    23. stop comparing stuff of course it’s not half as good as the original (dat was BIG!!!!) but this is fire still.. i love it!! it’s dope

      1. How are we not supposed to compare it when he used the same beat, same title, same hook? C’mon don’t be a fool.

    24. I been fuckin wit Ross since Port of Miami, the nigga is a great ARTIST, but fuck This is too much too soon. This is classic BIG man, out of all the songs he could have chosen to emulate BIG, he chose this? I can’t even listen to this shit without seriously feeling sick. This nigga just finger painted all over the Sistine Chapel

    25. STUPENDOUS! ABSOLUTELY STUPENDOUS! Are you motherfuckers crazy right now? I’m guessing you fucking retards must be slowly losing your hearing, because this shit…
      IS..
      A…
      FUCKING..
      BANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

French Montana did the hook a lot of justice, Ricky Rozay, the general, the God of rap. the best rapper in the game right now, did his motherfucking thing like always, and stellar production from Diddy. See, these are the ingredients to a classic single. I give this a 5.5/5 You motherfuckers hating now and shit, but just watch. You pussies will change your motherfucking tune once the Boss manages to ship 500k the first fucking week on y’all asses and REALLY blow your fucking minds. I predict that Mastermind will go straight to the top of the charts. I can see it now: Grammies, American Music Awards, MTV Awards out the asshole. Maybach Music’s takeover officially begins right NOW, nigga. This is our year! #bawse

      1. Guarantee this groupie ass whiteboy never heard the original BIG song until Ross remade it if he even heard it at all

      2. Bahahaha guess again, fuckboy. I’m an African American, not a dusty, ignorant nigga like you. And, yes I’ve heard the song. Ross managed to remake it and turn it into pure gold!

      3. you’re a white skinned freak its obvious. you make all ross fans looks bad with your cheerleading and groupie behavior. tone it back a bit, for rozays sake.

      4. Groupie bahahaha that’s rich. I’ll have you know that I’m not a groupie, I’m Ross’ right hand man, not to mention his former accountant/signed artist/close confidant.

    26. Absolute disgrace that Diddy let Ross go in over this beat…SMMFH and French Montana??? Poor Big doing back flips in his grave.

A Ross song ending with “the truth will set you free”??? There’s delusional, then there’s William Roberts.

      1. he even called trick daddy a sucker…. LOL

and here he is years later still rapping about selling dope when we all know he was a rich boy from the burbs who went to college and got a job locking drug dealers up and no one in rap has the balls to say shit

      2. ^^^ These Caucasian kids come on here talking nonsense… he got the job when he was 19 left when he was 21…..

Started Rapping when he was 29/30
Has no work record from 21 to when he started Rapping… Get a life Kid

      3. LOL, white kids dont get it, they think Carol City during the 80s and 90s was a suburb and that Ross was locking people up. LOL thats why everybody in the game fucks with Ross just to laugh in these squares faces for being so clueless.

      4. “In 1992, when Ross was 16, county records show that his mother, Tommie Roberts, purchased a 2,300 square foot home in Rolling Oaks Estates, an upscale cul-de-sac community in Miami Gardens.”

      1. this is dead wrong and if you dont think so you’re a ross groupie or less than 20 years old and never heard the original.

    27. Man French made some dope lyrics to this song. Did Ross even consider writing his own lyrics? It sounds like it was French’s single. If Ross say he wrote these lyrics he’s a damn liar. Shout out to French, you should’ve kept this one homie.

    28. i cant believe officer ricky is allowed to get away with all these things like rick ross said he definitely has a higher power backing him

    29. I hate the name “French Montana” it’s so pretentious, WTF does that even mean? I felt this way about “Benzino” How about “Lamborghiniaci”?

      1. french most def has one of the wackest rap names ever. how anyone takes him serious as an artist i will never quite understand hannnn

    30. Enough is Enough, Biggies name should never become Diddys black card. Let Diddy know to let B.I.G Rest In Peace. When was the last time Diddy really was biggin up his brother, not bigging up his bank account.

    31. Niggas sold u out BIG. I hate the way your legacy has been watered down. I don’t have to be from Bk. Let him rest.

    32. Wow… a new low. For Diddy. Officer Ricky. Hell even French. Shame on all of em for disrespecting the legacy of BIG with this wack ass bullshit.

    33. This would’ve been much better without FM and a biggie unreleased verse at the end. That’s the only way they should’ve ever put this out.

    34. Even if you don’t think this song is that good, it’s clearly better than a 1. For that to be the most popular rating means people are purposely clicking on the page, no listening and rating a 1. Sad.

      1. it deserves less than a 1 for the blatant disrespect and exploiting of a hip-hop legend and one of his classic records that should never be touched.

      1. Diddy did not produce this, it was produced in the 90’s by a number of people including Stevie J and DJ Enuff if you look up the credits for Life After Death.. Snake ass Diddy isn’t giving them credit for this though.

    35. WHY WOULD YOU LET THIS DUDE KILL THIS CLASSIC? THIS IS ONE OF THE WACKEST REMAKES EVER MADE AND WHAT THE FUCK IS A FRENCH MONTANA? IS HE A HYPE MAN,A TOWEL BOY? IT A SHAME HOW THEY WATERING DOWN THIS HIP HOP MUSIC TODAY….

      1. Exactly, I don’t see what the point of this remake was. It doesn’t do the original any justice or at least expand on the concept, it’s just empty. If anything it just makes me want to go back to Life After Death and hear the original.

    36. After reading a few posts, I have to add 1 more. All rappers and producers sample beats, tracks and lyrics from other artists. Truth is, this has been going on since rap hit the seen and probably before then. This remake is actually pretty good. A bit slower in tempo but good. I miss BIGs smooth delivery and patent for story telling. No1 did it better(except PAC in my opinion) and this song is an ode to a true legend. Those of you upset at diddy shouldnt be. BIGGIE was his boy and it shows by him getting two of the biggest hitters in the game right now Ross and French. (Love em or hate em) if anything BIG would be smiling right now because all he wanted was to be noticed, provide for his daughter and ms Wallace. This remake is just adding to his legacy. To that, I say thank you.

(For those that may doubt. I’m a latino in my 40s whos from the CHI & ive been in the game and did dirt and put in work. No suburbs here. HUMBOLT PARK raised. Study up.)

    37. Eww, that snare choice…

The original is one of my favorite Big tracks…sad thing is Ross sounds at home on the beat, but nah this ain’t doing it for me. The hook is just bad. I guess it’s cause I keep expecting Big to sing and I get this.

    38. I actually wish they had someone else do the hook and let French Montana do a verse. He’s good on 90’s era beats:

      Whatchu Want
      5 O’Clock
      Who Shot Ya
      Hell on Earth

    39. haha punk ass rick ross trying to jack Biggie’s image, flow, memory. what a clown

Since when was biting cool in hiphop??
