I admit his mainstream stuff has not been what I expected, but Trunk Muzik proves he has it. Word is he is having problems with the label, I am not sure of the details but I read a quote that said something to the effect of “I just want to make music”, which is what an artist should be allowed to do. Keep an ear out, I am sure his talent will come to the forefront. If not, well the hey, they are a lot of other artists out there to connect with.
