This article, to me, is different because Lecrae is still fairly new to the mainstream scene and I wanted to give a little glimpse into this key friendship. Also, some of Lecrae’s core fan base is sometimes confused when he makes mainstream references like the ones above, so I wanted to show where I think he is coming from. I liked this article,I’ve heard his name but it was my 1st time hearing his music & I like that “Church Clothes” song. The article is different because like jay-Z said when he collaborated with Dead Prez “We’re breaking down the boxes you put us in to separate us”,this is a main-stream artist who is friends with a conscious artist.
