Record would’ve been so much better without Auto-Tuning Nelly Furtado’s voice… Oh wait, thats cuz she can’t really sing right? Average. I would’ve expected more from K’NaaN
It’s okay, It’s tough make songs about coping in our oppressive society with a mainstream-ish sound? and still have it resonate. I like. K’naan really knows how to uplift without being to cliche about it. It’s sad though, to even think that an uplifting song so dense about the struggle could be subject to being passe but that’s what modern day Hip Hop has brought us. K’NAAN might be tiptoeing on real ish and cliche melodramatic self-righteousness, but he’s aware of it, and pushes the boundaries without compromising himself. 3 stars

Jay and Kanye do not in any way belong on that list, they’re some of the few that actually remain faithful to hiphop and still make good shit.
Worst song on the EP. EP had 3 good tracks 2 bad ones
