I am so excited for Killah Priest’s Planet of the Gods. Got that CD pre-ordered. Psychic World of Walter Reed was such an amazing project.
Needs Iggy to be classic. Just imagine if One Step, BIBLE, Fake MCs, Black August had autotune and guest spots from the Queen of hip hop, Rick Ross, Fetty Way etc.
Then he might have a chance of Wayne goat status as a true lyrical king
I love Priest. He’s one of my favorite MC’s of all time. There will never be another rapper with his combination of lyricism, religious knowledge, astrological knowledge, and imagination, which makes him incredibly unique. With that said, out of respect for him as an MC, I have to be objective. His flow has gotten really bad. I mean, it’s like he’s not editing these raps, he’s just rushing through them. Granted, his flow was never his strength, but now he’s not even on beat, I mean his rhymes are just all over the place, and it’s taking away from the listenability of the music overall.
Yo Sensaye, respekt tha opinion brutha, but I disagree… Since PWOWR Priest been on another level. I agree, the flow here is unorthodox, but I think it’s pretty nice sUn. It’s like stream of consciousness flow if you could pick the minds of 1,000 scholars
