Kid Cudi – Marijuana [Prod. Dot Da Genius]

Cudi leaks ‘Marijuana’ off ‘Man On the Moon II’, but it sounds like an old school Bone Thugs track. Must be an Ohio thing.

    1. Track is sick. Got me pumped for the album. People are always talking shyt about Cudi on DX…where are you haters?? Talk shyt about this song too. Oh right you can’t, cuz it’s sick. Acknowledge it

      1. That’s a stupid comment.Liking somebody is based off opinion. If you don’t like somebody it doesn’t mean they are crazy, just means that music doesn’t appeal to them.anyways,as far as this song so far,Love the concept…but this might have to grow on me,I might have to take a couple hits and listen to this

    3. FUCKING FUCK. Cudi and Kanye are so lazy! HALF OF CUDI’S ALBUM HAS ALREADY LEAKED…okay 7/17 has already leaked. So why doesn’t he put UNRELEASED AND UNLEAKED SONGS ON THE ALBUM!!! I’m not that mad at Cudi…atleast he has 10 new songs on it…But KANYE WTF!!!!! YOU’VE LEAKED MOST OF YOUR ALBUM ALREADY AND ITS ONLY 13 FUCKING SONGS??? THERE’S ONLY THREE SONGS ON THERE I HAVEN’T HEARD YET. WTF!!!!!
As for this track. Its chill, his flow is nice. I wish the hook was a little better. Cudi seems to have stopped trying. MOTM1 was epic. It seems the sequel, like sequels usually are, will not live up to the original…4/5 for this song because the hook could’ve been wayyyyy better.

    4. If you don’t like Cudi, why listen or even post?

He’s not my favorite artists, and his music is pretty odd at times, but he’s creative and brings originality along with him. That’s alot more than i can say for the majority of ‘artists’ out.

    5. Reminds me off some old Outkast Stankonia Loved Cudi’s first album and best believe the second album is going to just as good.
Like this song is more than lyrics i think is just something u sitback and smoke to with your skull candies on and just vibe with it. I put Cudi as the modern day Jimi Hendrix quote me on that.

    6. haha, oh cudi. trying to cover up that whole, “Yeah, I sniff cocaine” thing with a weed song. We get it. You’re unhappy with your life as a self-absorbed, over-hyped, lame pop star so you feel the need to take drugs. awesome. i guess you gotta give him a few props for at least trying to rap…1.5 stars.

    7. Kid Cudi is either hit or miss with me. I like “Day N Night” and I like “Alive (Nightmare)” but I haven’t liked that much else from him. That said, this is pretty dope. The chorus and beat are infectious. This does have an old school Bone Thugs and Harmony feel. I’m usually a stickler for lyrics, and love people like Canibus, Immortal Technique, etc…but this is more about the vibe than anything else. I give credit where credit is due I like this. I keep thinking that Lupe would’ve murdered this instrumental and Cudi would’ve been better on just the chorus though.

    8. Cudi is dope man.. dude has mad talent but he’s not just any other rapper that’ll drove a hot 16 with some witty rhymes, he’s the kinda dude that makes you feel some type of way with what he says and more importantly how he says it. A lot of times its hit or miss but eventually it grows on you when you stop trying to disect it and just absorb it.

    9. As someone who enjoys listening to Cudi’s music, I’m glad he has this sort of feel on this album – I was a bit worried that with the likes of Erase Me would be what the album was about.

To the Cudi haters, really, I’m not this guy is the GOAT, I’m just saying I like the feel of his music. End of. Move on.

    10. I find it hard to not like Cudi’s shit-I tried believe me but as people said hes infectious-its not always about straight rappin and thats sounds crazy coming from me but its different type shit that inspires me -some vibe out shit-and oh yea btw All things dope are indeed an Ohio thing.

    11. It doesn’t blow you away but, it’s a good track; well put together. *I put 5 stars but, it’s more like 4.3/5

    12. I was worried about his music for a minute when he was releasing zoned-out nonsense after the first album. But this here, along with Mr. Rager, picks up perfect where he actually left off in 2009.

    13. heard the first cerse thought it was going to be a good song but then he goes and fucks it up. If you gave this beat to Wiz, Drake , J Cole, Cory Gunz they would merk it but he’s just dead

      1. it aint that bad!!!! u cud tell its a vibe driven joint…if u lookin for lyrics, turn it off…im out of weed rite now but it wud help….lol

      1. bone and cudi…getting in the booth, the only way it would make sense is if it was an ohio anthem type track, other than that i cant see it….dont u think b4 u talk, bone and cudi have nothing in common

    14. this song is crazy, fuck haters! y’all just hate on him because he made it, if this song was released before his debut album you would have given it a 5.

    15. Thats just str8 up bad..an i don’ know what ya’ll mufuckas is talkin about “it sounds better when I’m high” I was high as fuck listenin to this, and it killed my fuckin buzz it was so bad…its like he was tryin’ to bite bone, but did a really bad job at it

    18. I like it. It makes me miss Bone in their hey day. They were one of the greatest rap groups of all time, I realize that more and more as they further disappear. I remember when Bone first came out, people didn’t know what to even think of it. It was probably the most creative rap style ever up to that point, especially for a whole crew.

    19. man this joint straight.. but this man pays no homage to bone and hes just gona debo their style and get the thanks that bone never got.. 5 cuz i love marijuana aswell

    20. Kid Cudi is Max B for Backpackers they both can’t really spit but sounds good on hooks. I usually don’t like anything he made after “Day and night” but this is ok

    21. anyone see that video of kid cudi fucked out of his mind not being able to walk on worldstar??? LOL dude needs a team of 4 guys to look after him when he goes out drinking

    23. Cudis masterpiece in my opinion. He and dot da genius produced this. His first album had some songs I fell in love with, but this song has some of his best rapping, a sick hook, and an amazing beat.
