      1. Nah hip hop is still dead. Song cool though.
Difference is In the 90s you had maybe 50 or 60 dope albums coming out a year. Now your lucky if you get one.
This year we’ve had maybe 4 or 5 dope albums come out and that’s being generous. Life is good was in my opinion the best album to come out this year. Brilliant album.

But there is probably close to 1000 albums that come out in the 90s that were better.

Hip hop ain’t the same. Without fail you could go to the record store and buy 5 or 6 albums a month and not hear a bad one.

Now if you buy 5 or 6 albums a year your not gaurenteed you will have one good one.

      2. Its funny becuz Kendrick lamar ,idol to all these little teenage rap fans, listed his top 50 (or 25,i forget)favorite albums of all time and 99.9% of them were all lp’s made in (drumroll)..yep,the 90’s. And Lamar is one of the biggest mouthpieces for this current generation.. I look at that list and im stunned to see that all the young fans i know have little to no interest to explore any of those absolute MASTERPIECES… They all shun the culture’s storied past simply cuz it wasnt made in the last couple of years..but get their panties soaked when somebody like Joey Badass (i refuse to put the money signs in his name, thats lame)drops an AVERAGE at best mixtape… Lmao.. Kids,if you are thirsty for quality hiphop, then u better start doing for your homework. And ditch that idiotic mentality that if an artist is over the age of 30 then hes irrelevant and “old”. And that hes “hating” Who do u think inspired these little teenage rappers u all shamelessly idolize??!!! SMH..

    1. ab soul abstract asshole; running laps over all ur fav rappers. Dude is the truth; his CD shits on lupe and kendricks just saying.

      1. Lyrically and creativity wise… YES! But Lupe’s was more educational. It motivates the youth to take a stand an free there minds of this rugid hip-hop industry. And Kendrick’s is one of the greatest concept albums of all time. Time will prove that. But don’t sleep on Ab-Soul’s he’s about drop his wildly dope Interscope solo.

    2. Why is Ab soul rapping about his third Eye and Joey is on his “johnson” somebody tell badass to open up a book and stay on the topic of the song.

    3. Hip-hop is alive and thriving. Hopefully it will continue to take back over the slow encroachment on our culture by the corporate leeches that want to force feed us music. Maybe just maybe, artist will once remember that its actually about the music and not ending up as the modern day blackface artists that a lot of “hip-hop” has become.

Joey Badass, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole = a free mind

    4. They droppin some knowledge on this….anybody sayin otherwise is just trollin…look at the rating…self awareness is one of the most important things to have in this world…I’m feelin this the world needs to hear more of it
