    1. Joell so nice man….some people just pieces of shit that say he aint great with the mic..all they can say (all Joell can do is eat a egg sandwhich this and that) get the fuck outta here…Joell kills ya favorite rapper bitch

    2. Dope…Joells been a beast for years n this styles what I like from him, more reminiscent of Road Kill than alot of his more recent joints lil less aggressive n hungry than Road Kill was but still dope

    3. I am not sure why so many people seem tired of this dude.. I am a fan.. I will support dude until he sells out.. Which I doubt will ever happen. He has been consistent for over a decade.. Jake One is also slept on… This aint for the club, this aint for the Radio, this is for your car, your Boombox, your Ipod… Vibing music..

      1. What’s day one for you? The Who The #*$&#*$ Is Joell Ortiz mixtape? He had potential there, yes, and he hasn’t come close to living up to it.

    4. I think that since S.H. has gained such relative popularity (since Shady endorsement) there’s a lot of hatin ass faggots talkin shit, that have never really listened to each of these dudes respective catalogs.

Listening to Joell’s most recent shit is not indicative of his potential, and while he’s not my favorite in the group (C.O.B.!) to be consistently able to match verses with Crooked is no small feat, let alone constantly surpassing Royce & Budden’s efforts. People in the know will tell you that Ortiz bodied the majority of the first S.H. album, (apparently Crook was writing and watching basketball at the same time, so to be fair, that may have given Joell an edge, imo…) and anyone who bothered listening to The Brick Bodega would vouch as well, im sure.

I will say that since I heard all the shit talking about Joell, one thing i notice is that he DOES rap about food quite often, but to label him by just that is like sayin Royce ain’t talented cause he ONLY raps about his dick, and Joey can only rap about failed relationships and movie references.

When I praise Slaughterhouse, it’s because I have followed ALL these cats for a few years now, and I respect their individual efforts greatly. I could care less that Em is backing them; his name is not needed to be attached to Slaughterhouse to get me all hyped up, I was a fan already. Really, im cool with it though cause Em backing means more chance for major exposure, and hopefully more material from dudes i like to hear.

Crooked’s 2007 Hip-hop Weekly series set the bar HIGH and despite numerous mixtapes and NO official first album, I judge this series as not only groundbreaking (remember all those other dudes with weekly series’ in 2010?) but also a masterpiece.

The Bar Exam and Mood Musik mixtapes from Royce & Budden are also standout performances, despite not being major releases, and have spawned multiple follow-ups that have been heavily praised and gained a devout following.

The Brick Bodega is of this same caliber, and im sad to say that I wasn’t feelin that Free Agent, but to those who aren’t as well versed in the rest of his music, I think you’re doing a disservice by judging him so quickly.

Crooked aint Pac and Joell sure as shit aint Big Pun, but at least for me, these guys are the next best thing. So you can keep your old Wu-Tang records and your Horsemen hype. Just give me a new slaughter album on some Dre Beats and I’ll be good.

That and that motherfucking Million Dollar Story! Yep, that’s it.

      1. Fuckin Cosign all that shit….C.O.B!! new video droppin 1st week of August!! Drum Murder Crooked ft Horseshoe Gang!!..off MDS….Crooked I = G.O.A.T

      2. Royce raps about his dick because he’s on the DL– if he ever rapped honestly about being gay it’d be very interesting but his fake content is why he’s so goddamn BORING.

      3. I also cosign everything Ganjarelli wrote. All 4 of them been super lyrical way before they formed Slaughterhouse. Ya need to do ya homework before judging.

      4. it’s spelled LAUGHTERHOUSE douche and you know nothing about real slaughterhouses, in any sense of therm (there are a few).

      1. apparently u havent heard Crookeds originals or all his HipHop Weeklys..cuz if ya did..ud be singin a different tune…kills anything and album in the past ten years…makes originals look pointless.. I like Budden tho too..

    5. Seven White Castles, one NASTY fucking deuce, pee-yew.

      Fat Joell stays losing!

Joell has been shit for three years!! His debut album had a little spark but he burned that out long ago.

How many dogshit mixtapes, guest spots, LAUGHTERHOUSE, the second garbage solo do you all need to get the fucking point?

    6. Joell’s debut wasn’t even that good either– three or four hot tracks, the rest mediocre or worse, with HORRIBLE guests, including garbage Maino (redundant, I know).

Let’s see what idiotic label, if any, signs Joell solo– I predict none will, nor should they.

      1. Nigga Joell is nice. Better than lil wayne and the rest of those wack ass over rated rappers you probably like.

    7. If he was wack why so many iconic real rappers cosign him??? To name a few KRS-ONE, Fat Joe, 50 cent, Jim Jones, DJ Premier, Talib Kweli, Nas, Eminem, Kanye West, and the list goes on. So who cares what ya Joell haters think. Real recognize real!!!

    8. Why the fuck did Joell have the weakest verse on “Apollo Kids”?

Why the fuck do assholes co-sign Maino?

Because they are ALL desperate, that’s why.

I know Joell was ass when he couldn’t even murk a guest spot with Big Noyd– Big Noyd!

I love KRS-One but you know how many copies of his last album ya’ll bought?

Put the Teacha’ and Fat Joell onstage, however, and see who kills it.

    9. In the ‘golden age’ this whining fat fuck would be lucky to be a mop jockey on Forty Deuce.

Jake One deserves better, and sometimes gets it (Prodigy, Freeway).

    10. Fake Latino Joell is a dope, on that I agree.

Fatso is an internet-only hype, and even Joell Army didn’t buy his shitty second album. As for the mixtapes, they cost what they are worth: abso-fucking-lutely nothing.

      1. YAOWA!!! but Joell Ortiz wouldn’t even approve of this comment. its just as disrespectful to him as it is to Pun… #justsayin

    11. can someone tell me what exactly joell is dropping lately???

      wheres the yawoa mixtape???

whats this new ‘Life and Times of Sebastian Rios’ about? new album? another mixtape???

      SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!!!
