    1. damnnn…i so wanna be like J Cole when I grow up.

His flow is so effortless, and it’s so hard for me! I gotta sneak a peek at his blackberry or somethin

      Young Money!!!

      1. drizzy drake is a dick riding fag. anyone who likes young phonies must be a homo. all their music blows balls who the fuck signs two little boys who haven’t hit puberty that will never be able to rap….. lil gay does. i gotta stop here1

      1. Your retarded…. Drake is a spitter…Sure some songs are to poppy but still lyrical…called different styles thats the point of other artists…Wouldnt it be boring if we only had one style?

        J.cole
        Drake
        Yelawolf
        Wiz Khalifa
        Currensy
        Vandalyzm
        Big KRIT
        Nipsy Hussle

        Are the future……..

    2. Good but not great. I feel like I was spoiled by Premediated Murder, Blow Up, etc so maybe my expectations are too high now. He’s really good, but I think every song that’s come out AFTER Blow Up hasn’t been a 5. They’ve been 3.5-4.

    3. everyone say drake got the same sound well listen to J cole so does he…. smh people swear they know music n idk why ppl even bring up drake i guess u guys dont wanna admitu like him cause u sure got his name in ur mouth… so if u dont like someones music dont bother listenin to it….

    4. I dont listen to drake i listen to j cole….. more than you even know. so stop trying to tell me what rappers i like and which ones i dont cuz clearly you have you no idea… nice try though

    5. is there something i missed?? what had Drake & Cole done to make you compare them?? They’re 2 different people who have 2 very different styles.

    6. I love J. Cole but dude needs huge production help or he is going to fall short of his potential. straight up, the beats don’t match the rhymes

    7. FUCK HUGE PRODUCTION!!!, MOST OF THE ALBUMS WITH BIGGER BUDGETS FLOP, UNLESS YOUR JAY-Z, KANYE,50,EM(AND EVEN EM WENT TO LESSER KNOWNS FOR RECOVERY-DRE DID 1 BEAT) WE RUNNIN WIT U COLE 5/5

    8. Cole is DOPE. His beats are just OK though. He DOES have the same flow over and over again though. Doesn’t matter how much you LOVE his flow…it’s been the same one. He’d be NEXT LEVEL if he switched it up!

      1. daaaaamn dude just bit your head of for not giving a high enough compliment. Like you talking bout his girlfriend. That’s why I never rate on this site. People don’t judge music right.

    9. Why do dudes get so mad when you say a J.Cole track isn’t fire. This track is cool, not great. His flow DOES get a bit repetitive at times. This beat isn’t particularly great.

When you compare this to Premediated Murder and the Blow Up, it’s a 3. This joint is probably in the lower half of all the songs he’s ever released.

When Jay-Z releases a garbage track like “Off That” it’s cool cuz he sets the bar so high. Ditto with Cole. He set the bar high for himself, so sometimes people will note that he didn’t reach it.

It doesn’t mean that you like Gucci Mane, or that he’s too deep for you, or anytihng of the sort.

      1. THANK YOU!!! That was probably someone in J.Cole’s camp. But I HOPE it wasn’t it was was just the truth. No slight to Cole cause like the FIRST thing I said…HE’s DOPE! But there is a REASON that he hasn’t come out yet and Jay is getting ready to drop ANOTHER album. Not EVERYTHING that your fav rapper does is GREAT! SO to the dude who was too cowardly to even leave a name, your definition of a HATER is juvenile. If I dont think J.Cole did the best job on a song, that makes me a Gucci Mane fan, LOL. Thank GOD that the REAL world isn’t that black or white.

    10. j. cole da truth but i agree wit a lot of yall who say “yea sumtimes his sh!t aint dat fire”. sumtime he does jus come mediocre(like dis track)

    11. the only way this guy is going to get recognize without huge production is that if we buy his album so he can do numbers that he really deserves

    12. Only reason this song isn’t that good is cuz it was for a video game come onn lol and those random noises are sounds from the video game

    13. This shit is cool, its not album potential just some video game shit.
J.Cole the truth though and he the future.
You cant come hard all the time though, I mean every lil wayne track wasnt fire but yall still was on his dick sayin the best rapper alive a few years back.

    14. Like J Cole, but this tracks sounding a bit like Death of Autotune. He is at a spot now where he can shape his image and he needs to be careful hatas don’t start calling him a biter.

    15. It is what it is, 3.5/5. Cole went consistent, but it aint his album worthy material due to the platform it’ll be released on – a video game.

    16. J.Cole needs to be careful, dick riders will hate on him like they did Cudi. People hate on Cudi because he blew up and got popular too though.

This might not be the J.Cole were use to, but it’s dope none the less. People are already talking that shit about oh he isn’t always fire because of this track.

People just have nothing better to do than critque or hate.

      1. true. hip hop fans are full of ish this day. Minute nigga start poppin’ for real they will move on to the next one. Its almost a nigga gotta be broke or not on that next level $$$$ in order to keep his respect

      2. Unfortunately the facts are the facts…people who leave j cole now obviously hvaen’t been down with him since pre warm-up era. Some of the NC boys I chill with got the proper appreciation, but really nobody has a clue who J Cole is about to do. haters gonna hate, and J Cole is gonna remain to be the best

      3. They put it on the site to be listened to. They ask you to rate it for a reason. There critique (if constructive) is never a bad thing. You can tell who’s critique is just that. And you can tell who is hating. At the end of the day, people just still can’t except other people’s opinions if it’s not the same.

PS Kid Cudi is CORNY! TERRIBLE comparison. J.Cole is NICE! He is a total different music. Cudi is one of those artist that its CLEAR that not everyone us going to get him.

    17. What’s with the beat? I thought I had a virus on my computer or something in the beginning. Lyrics are dope.

    18. strong lyrics, very relevant for the video game soundtrack, and hip hop generally…’champion mentality that why i’m ignoring the fact that you fouling me, and 1, where i go you cant come, i was schooling your father boi that make u my grandson’… nice…

    19. Hes not coming with the fire as much on this one cause he made this song For NBA Elite 11. So his lyrics are specifically stated towards the video game, hee did what he was suppose to for the song period.

    20. Like he said on villematic….its gonna be a long year.. once that album and new mixtape come out, hell be on everyones ipod..DreamVillain!

    21. with the new updates the site no longer save my user name and e-mail address, so now I got to retype those things everytime. Making me do all that all the time I limit my comments and ratings. This is number 1 of today.

      1. @Prevster j.cole can’t put out the crack all at once and plus it’s for the video game. I think the album that he will drop will really change the game. He’s gotta build the fanbase for real and hold the ones’ who’s already down over until the joint drops….I think he’s also trying to show the producing skills for real…But Lights please was ill though! lol

    22. Style/lyrics is nothing new to rap music. Just doesn’t pull me in sorry. Just has a name and the backing of the biggest names in the industry which breeds success- not quality music.

    24. Cole is really that dude that has those lines that your like damn thats how I feel, sort of like a nas how he articulates, this track is just aight though.

      1. Wow, atleast the idiots that hate on B.o.B and Kid Cudi waited until they dropped their albums to start the BS.

You have to be a special kind of idiot to hate on J.Cole. His mixtapes have been nothing, but fire and the tracks that are suppose to be on his debut are fire also.

Damn, minute a dude makes a song for a video game he is suddenly wack.

I’d say your opinion id overrated, but that would have to mean people take it seriously.

      2. I cant believe no one said anything about him sayin shit about nas he only put one of the best hip hop albums ever made. But seriously this dude is talented son, you got to atleast give em that.

      3. this fuck boy, you don’t know hiphop, J Cole puts that fire all the time, he express his lyricism in his own way and its real shit. Saying Nas is whack you a pussy that don’t listen music, you probably a Justin Beiber nut hugger huh? lmao. Like Nas say “tell me what rapper that I didn’t influence”

    25. Sick track. I’m really looking forward to his album dropping. Hope he chooses his production right, because I know he’s gonna take care of his end of it.
