      1. Hes been missed but Jay-Z probably told him over exposure is not the best thing, ie. Lil Wayne-Rick Ross guys that come out with new songs every day same shit over again.

    1. all 250,000 of his fans are dick riders to the max lol.

“COLE WORLD” you guys are so corny, and I like J.Cole’s music.

      1. c mon son give my us fans some credit, how we corny we just supporting one of the few niggas that are actually doing it genuinely lmfaoooo

      2. Yeah man!!! It’s so EASY to hate on what’s “in” right now. Cole World is in. Get over it. Move on. Listen to Section .80 (great album by the way) because it’s less known and more underground than Cole’s newer shit. Your comment is irrelevant. Cole World is taking over. Deal with it.

    2. I knew someone was going to loop this and rap over it eventually…I just wish it wasn’t J Cole. This mediocre dude is supposed to be the best rapper of the new generation??? This is the dude you compare to Nas???? Really?? That shows you how much hiphop these days…Peoples standards for hiphop have lowered drastically. You teenagers on here probably didn’t even listen to the shit…You just see J Cole’s name and dick ride whatever bland, uninspired shit he puts out.

      1. well he’s no NaS, Biggie, Pac…but at least he’s one of the few mainstream artists that speaks from his heart.

      2. Nas is the GOAT. I don’t really see ppl compare Cole to Nas so I don’t know what you’re talking about. Cole has his own lane. He’s one of the few new mainstream rappers that truly has skill. Don’t be so hard on him. Don’t compare him to legends…yet.

    3. J. Cole’s subject matter sucks … plain and simple.

He’s like a hardcore version of Drake lol. I’d rather listen to guys like Kendrick or Schoolboy Q or even ASAP Rocky. Those guys aren’t gangsters but they grew up in that environment and can rap about REAL SHIT.

      1. have you heard lost ones, pass me by, and every other song? Don’t get me wrong i respect all those cats as well, I think they are the closest best group next to slaughterhouse, but J cole has subject matter like a motherfucker. this is him just freestylin!

      2. SchoolBoy Q was a 52nd St Hoover Crip and he was gangbanging at 12 years old (at least that’s what it says on Wikipedia)

      3. j cole is similar to drake in that they both just rap about their thoughts and feelings, only difference is j cole doesnt have a vagina

    4. FUUQQ YEEZ MY NIKKAS

FINALLY IT HAPPENED – JUST GOT A NEW RIDE – A CAM A RO CONVERTIBLE.GOT APPROVED FOR 26 LARGE. BEEN 5 YRS SINCE IVE GOTTEN SHYT APPROVED, BUT NOW ALL MY CRE-DIT SHEET GONE. ALL OF IT.

IF YOU STRUGGLING WITH THAT CREDITT HISTORY ISHH, GET RID OF ALL DAT TODAY – CALL THESE PEEPS AT 8^8^8-9-2-7 -3-3-5-6. . THEY DO AMAZING WORK AND THEY ARE CHEAP AS FUQQ. GOT RID OF ALL MY SHYYT IN NO TIME.

MY HOMEBOY WAS IN THE GUTTA TOO, AND HE CLEANER THAN ME NOW-gettin a condo!!

Hit em up – THEY WILL HELP U!!

    5. J Cole and Drake are the best rappers in the game right now bottom line…..whoever disagrees clearly doesnt know music!!

      1. how the hell did you just say “the best rappers” n you named drake? are you kidding me? that take care album was 95% rnb. ya favorite rapper must be lil wayne. ill agree with j cole but his subject matter is horrible he songs are horrible every now n then has a good song but hes spittin. so ill agreee wit cole

    6. The best new school rappers are Nipssey Hussle, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, Asap Rocky, Drake, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa.

    7. i said this when i heard his first mix tape on dx n couldnt stop lizen too it.I’ll say it again future of hi hop

      1. how can the future of hip hop have no subject matter or background story ? he might as well just be a swag rapper.

    8. To all the folks pointing out the fact that cole has absolutely nothing to say, wisen up, the new school hiphop fans dont care about content or substance, they listen to Drake and Big Sean all day, fuck you expect? lol

    9. Nice beat. Lyric wise Cole has sold out. Shits still better then half the wack shit in the mainstream.

      1. But Sky is monotone and boring, but hip-hop nerds get wet over him because he’s lyrical and underground. But as an all-around MC he’s mediocre…Sounds the same all the time and sucks at making good “music”. Lyrics, yes. But music? No.

    10. Ummm…. I mean it’s alright. The introspective/conscience stuff is cool but… I’m kinda lost for words but it isn’t enjoyable/entertaining at all. Nice that he caught us up on what’s been going on in his head/life and threw in some word play. But after you listen to it once it’s like okay, what next?? Zero lasting appeal just like the grew up fast cut. Personally I’m looking for actual songs from Cole not introspective poems rapped over looped samples which are what those two cuts are. Maybe he should find some way to get Jay to publish all the introspective poems he has in a book or something and work more on making actual songs. I mean he could have told us all this stuff in a press release or something and kept it moving it’s not really that great just a guy rapping about what he’s been doing for that past few months. I can see why it’s getting 5’s the bar is so low in hip hop nowadays. More like a 3 tho. Huge fan btw.

    11. J Cole was praised as hip-hop’s savior when he was breaking into the game. “OMG, if 2pac and Nas had a baby, it would be J Cole”. Hip-Hop heads unite and jump on the bandwagon. Fast forward…J Cole sells out with his debut album, and it is clear now that J Cole has more women then men in his fan base. Fuck me, this is too much truth for one post. I’m bout to get hated on. But I’m the hater right? I’m still bumping live from the underground

    12. I see alot of comments saying Cole doesnt have much subject matter. That has no truth to it at all. Tho I wasnt a big fan of his debut album, even that had songs like lost ones, cheer up,dollar & a dream & cheer up which has way more substance than ur average hip-hop songs(not to mention his mixtapes which were better than his albulm). If Cole doesnt have subject matter, you’ve never listened to a full J.Cole record..I wish he would’ve just rapped over this original song and jus taken out Jay/Kanye verses. I think dat would’ve been better

    13. Cole, I was a little disappointed when I bought your album, but I’ve come to find quite a few uses for it. I’ve used it as a coaster for my drinks, and right now I’m breaking up a couple grams. Gonna light up and pop in Ab-Soul’s Control System.

    14. J Cole is one of those guys that I feel I should like, but he’s just eh… Not bad by any means, but his songs are never BANANAS.

    15. Cole World, the new Nat King
If I ain’t the illest nigga, I’m his new vaccine Really more like poison when his New Jack Swing And my bed is like a deck of cards – two black queens

      1. Anon you’re a fucking idiot. You’re probably trolling or some shit but still, stop being ignorant.

    16. Such a real last verse..

“took kids to carowinds which im sure you never heard of, cause i didn’t tell the news or the fayetteville observer.”

Also, big props to Cole for shoutin out the young kid jaheem. That’s big brotha

    17. J Cole discusses obstacles, pros/cons (mostly pros), concerns, empathy and even some of his philanthropy work in this moderately introspective synopsis of life after reaching success. He delivers his usual intricate, multi-syllabic rhyme schemes over the beautiful closing sample of Ye & Jays Lift Off with Beyonce. Despite addressing a few negative aspects involved with success, its clear his positives far outweigh the bad evidenced by Cole flexing throughout the majority of his verses, not to be confused with boasting or bragging states Cole, but seem exactly the same to me. Either way, I enjoyed The Cure and am happy to hear Cole will be releasing new music.

Side note- This song isnt deep on subject matter. I dont think its intended to be. To people who think Cole lacks the intellect to create a thought-provoking song with a subject, do some research.

    18. Nice remix. I still wish Jay had done a whole verse on this song, rather than the 4 bars or so he spit on the original version.

    19. SOMEONE TELL ME IF A DROPPIN A TAPE cole is the shit i know he workin on a lp and that shit with kendrick on the side little by little but i hope the songs and shit he did he feel aint make it he start droppin like wiz has been doing or he just put it out like the any givin sundays

    20. “I can’t believe these niggaz aint rap on this shit…”

Couldn’t agree more…as much as the rest of this song sux, this part was smooth as a MF…but aint have no verses over it. Never understood why…

    21. IT sucks how cole fell off so early in his career…He needs to stay away from punchline raps then maybe he can be okay. Hes so blanddd and his album was such a disappointment. And at this point there’s like 25 rappers currently better than him wtf happened to my man lol

      1. He’s stuck in that limbo between new and true fans.I agree Cole World was a disappointment but so was Big Krit’s album, and 9 times out 10 so will Kendrick’s, but that’s compared to their mixtapes.Neither sold out,so as fans we have to respect that. I can already see that Cole is never going to have the freedom he saw on his classic mixtapes, and now with his current star he’ll probably have to go the Meek Mill Dreamchasers 2 route for any further mixtapes, because the microscopes he’s under by new “fans” won’t allow a misstep. They’ll want a Workout over a World is Empty,so he’ll have to cave in because if he doesn’t he’s a bust(according to the new “fans”). As a fan of his I don’t want to see that happen and I have to respect his decisions in the future because not only am I a fan of his music but also his movement. His mixtapes are modern day classics and he’s currently changing the game. I just hope he doesn’t completely sell out.

    22. It’s crazy how much people r hating those verses were sick i don’t understand how anybody could think this shit wasn’t raw

    23. beats whatever.. his lyrics are honestly pretty whack.. just braggin about his shit like everyone else and talking down on everyone just like everyone lol smh though cole was better than this

    24. Does anybody see what I just saw on J Cole single image of The Cure? On the background shadow there is devil wearing a halo.
      Something to think about!

      1. The way J. COLE is written on all his productions/concert promotions etc. features that halo’d devil as the O in Cole. It’s not new.

    25. What a fucking beast. J Cole is insane. Take this as a reminder that just because you can put two words together that rhyme doesnt mean your gonna have a multi-million dollar rap career. You’ll never be like Cold World

    26. The beat is nice but it’s horrible for anything other than a mainstream catchy track and Cole tried to come with bars… he needs a good producer and a better sound, his flow and lyrics are average at best but his beat selection aint doing him any favours.

But hold the phone. This track is called “The cure” and on the cover is a bottle of what looks like I dunno, some toxic death mix or something. Then there’s a shadow of a devil with a halo? I’m not saying he can’t have whatever and I’m not gonna preach that this is some illuminati secret attack shit but I just found the imagery a little bit strange really. I find the whole song weird. WTT came out like a year ago and Cole only just pulled his finger out of his ass to do the worst track off the album? and why is it called “the cure” like he’s trying to brainwash humanity, or save hip hop or something… cure for what? and like this guy is the cure for anything, he’s more or less a disease. Just another whack mainstream artist doing what he’s paid to do but he never sold out because he was never that nice. All his shit is just typical 2012 rap…

      1. 1. Cures don’t look a certain way
        2. He’s been using the halo and horns on his covers for a while. I think it’s more stylistic than anything.
        3. You’re looking to deep into the song being called the cure. If he didn’t mention it in the song you can generally assume he means his music is the metaphorical cure to wack music.
        4. J Cole’s a quality rapper

      2. Yo this kid is just a fucking hater. This bitch wrote a whole analysis on this niggas song. Why dont you get your fuckin ass on rap genius and read the lyrics

      1. You are not a 1/10 as talented as he is. Do you even have a life? All you do is hate on the top rappers.

    27. the song would have been ten times better if there was a different beat and if he just made two songs outa this because there is no hook and its just verses on verses i know he play victim a lil too much but he fits it good unlike other rappers

    28. mane J.Cole fell off for a lil and I was wonderin where he went…..glad he comin back hard tho…

    29. I do have to say j cole is falling off, he has the same sound all the dam time, then he says this is not bragging but flexin nigga u bragging the whole track.

    30. Finally….that’s all I gotta say.

      J. Cole coming back with the cure to all this fake shit.

    31. Mix tape grade level. Nothing more.

After Andre 3000’s “Sixteen,” I’m thinking about not listening to anybody else for a minute.

      1. dude that andre verse was awesome as fuck. he hasnt missed a fucken beat. PLZ COME BACKK 3000!!!!

      2. Man I just wish he would hook up with big boi again, its like big boi developed a disease or some shit and andre does’nt wanna go close to him cause he might catch it.

    32. JCOLE,LUPE,BANKS,KENDRICK,KANYE,50,AND SLAUGHTERHOUSE ARE BRINGING THAT REAL SHIT…NOT THAT WACK NO CONTENT BULLSHIT YOUNG MONEY IS BRINGING

    33. For those who are saying this is whack, or he fell off, etc. is just pure haters! Fell off from what??? If this is whack then what’s good to u? I don’t understand u niccas!

    34. All of you can hate but Cole is the truth his lyrics is based on knowledge and they are way to intelligent for you YMCMB dickriders

    35. Props to the kid J-Cole! Much respect! The only thing is the beat coulda hit a little harder, but otherwise, shit is still BANGIN! I just think the drums on this just coulda snapped a little harder. He always come with the lyrics tho

    36. Cole is officially BACK. Be scared u crappy rappers. Simba is back to take the throne!!!

      1. hopefully not I need this collaboration to happen. Wale and cole did some good shit. I can only imagine what he and k.dot will do. Imagine and album of songs like Hiiipower that isn’t section 8?

    37. I still don’t know who this niggas fanbase is. I be in NY and I don’t see nobody bumpin dude.

      “COLE WURL” corny.

      1. His fanbase? Females. And bandwagoners who bought into the hype that J Cole was one of hip-hop’s saviors. They pretend he didn’t sell out with his debut.

      2. oh so people have to bump your shit in ny to have a fan base? i think you forgot new york city is a small place and isnt the only state out here aside from the fact that, that place is filled w gays and hipsters who aint on that hip hop shit…you need to get out more kid you will learn that every place you go in america is alike except ny so who cares if them weirdos out there cant relate maybe cuz he dont use made up words only used in ny for ya to relate to lol idk maybe he dnt say “son” enough for ya cornballs to like his music

      3. his fanbase is made up of ppl that know wat good music sound like not that shit u hear on radio or in the clubs.. funny thing is J.cole’s album sold more thn all thm niggas u listen to in new york. like rick ross.. read a little more my fren

      4. Sorry but wavz…you are an idiot. Two of J. Cole’s latest singles have been all over the radio (and were created to do so). His album was weak as hell ( I have been a massive fan for 3 years and will still happily tell you that). Rick Ross is amongst the most hated artists in New York right now and his album ain’t even out yet so how exactly did Cole outsell him? Oh and by the, God Forgives, I don’t will outsell Cole World by a long shot….but sales have shit all to do with anything these days. In reply to the original comment, his fanbase is simply described as teenage girls and people who want to hear what you would get if you mixed Kanye & Hov together then watered it the fuck down.

    38. Wasn’t great imo. People need to stop acting like certain songs are good or that certain songs are bad simply because of the name of the artist.

    39. Listen to the lyrics, it’s a positive message and actually makes sense, he’s so under rated and I don’t know why he isn’t a typical rapper but whatever, haters are going to hate.

    40. you gotta like J Cole…if you don’t that mean you don’t know anything about hip hop.this is real shit better than Lil wayne shit.i can’t stand that nigga..n!gga be dressing like girl.

    41. Am I the only one that noticed he kinda jabbed at Kanye at the end of this song?

“How many Kanye beats do a nigga gotta murder to prove my minds further”

But J.Cole is beast, sick song!

      1. He’s basically saying that every Kanye beat he rhymes over he kills. Where do you see an insult?

      2. Learn how to listen to the music. Cant stand you typa rap fans, especially on a level where lyrical content is critical.

      3. Damn, you dudes only hear what you want to hear. This is not even close to being a shot, you niggas reaching like a motherfucker.

      4. He is saying what does he have to do to prove himself. By going hard on ye’s beats he’s saying hes done the biggest and best. He doesn’t have anything against ye and probably appreciates all his beats and support.

    42. mulatto saying nigga is wrong and he still is too young. Grow more mature and you’ll get more than a nod for good form from true golden era heads like myself. Shyheim all day!

      1. No, he doesnt!! are you talking about in reference to what? To getting radio play? why does he need to switch his style up? im not calling u out just curious.

Do you mean so that he can appeal to a bigger audience? this shit is so sick im impressed by his rap. i think hes nas where drake is jay z meaning drake took the radio route nas relied on lyrics

its all good in the end i think j cole will do alright

    49. Dear J.Cole,

Not everyone that comments is broke, bored or illeterate…it just simply fans of the hip hop music/ movement

same as when you find comments on sites like forbes, techcrunch, mashable or fifa.com etc

its just fanatics who are reacting the movement of their fav hobby. To us fans, hip hop is just as close to our hearts as sports is close to sport fans who react same way we react. same way educated people react on science blogs and stuff

this is response to your line , how we feel about sitting commenting whistle you out with our bitch…We got careers too bitch, thats why we can afford laptops, and data plans…we don’t care how many bitches you fuck as they just that, bitches coz if they were good women, you’d be planning a family with her….but ya’ll fucking bitches, so we can’t be jealous of whores.

We care about the music, and we won’t stop commenting so quit mentioning it in your song including Jay Z with the line if we want to comment or want a house in Malibu….we want Hip Hop!!!!

its our sport, our hobby, our daily bread so please don’t fuck it up with your illiterate minds rapping about nothing and start injecting some substance in your raps

      your sincerely

    51. hot damn!!!!!!!!!!! Love it, but Cole need to put these great songs on his cd. Some of his mixtape songs are way better than the ones on his album. Hope he doesnt do that again.

    52. Cole world is the leader of the new school lyric wise.. what did he say in his verse? people tell him hes better than so-and-so he keeps it modest but in his head he already knows it (talking about drake)

im a loyal drake fan but if this nigga didnt just come up on him with this one wtf

      cole will be good forever

      1. I ride with j Cole hes like my favorite artist he has sick lyrics, delivery, and flow.. but lyric leader naaa I know a couple people that could beat him…1st that came to mind was Kendrick lol (talking new school here)

    53. This is dopeeee!
Real hiphop here! mans better regonise this shit and stop hating!
if u dont like it then dont comment!

    54. Abe Lincoln? George Washington never told a lie. Liar. lol. ITS ALL GOOD cole. I know how it feels when you realize ur line made no sense. but this was dope.

      1. No… it was Abe Lincoln. That’s how he received the nickname “Honest Abe”. Both presidents said that line but Lincoln is more famous for it.

    55. if kendricks debut goes the way i think it will and it will cuz of lady gaga every new artist had crazy mixtapes thaat proved their ability and sold out on thier first cd
