Anything with Illus and Paul Dateh on it is going to be special, add Gift of Gab and it’s a different level. Lyrically this leaves a lot to think about. I was sceptical when I saw Illus’ new album For Adam had so many guest artists on it but, as this song is prime example, it has served to raise his game. With so much depth to the subject matter, having guests has helped Illus’s lyrics have a greater impact. His verses here hit some hard subjects.
more peace, less war!
