Aloe Blacc and Exile have reunited as Emanon to release their new album, Dystopia. The critically acclaimed Hip Hop producer and distinguished singer-songwriter have been collaborating as Emanon for two decades. With no more than a four-track recorder, turntable, and a microphone, the two started making music together as teenagers. Their undeniable chemistry shines throughout the 10-track project.

Blacc is widely known as a soul singer due to his Stones Throw album release, Good Things, which includes the hit song, “I Need a Dollar,” and has garnered further international success with “The Man and Wake Me Up” from Interscope’s Lift Your Spirit. Exile, on the other hand, has laid the foundation for new West Coast classics with fellow Dirty Science crew members Blu and Fashawn. He’s also produced material for artists like Snoop Dogg, Whiz Khalifa and Big Sean.

Dystopia reveals the darker side of Blacc’s poetry and lyrical prowess, along with Exile’s sonic landscape of samples, beats and signature audio effects. From “Make It” to “Yesterday” featuring Blu, the album has all the makings of a classic. Listen to it in full above and cop it on vinyl here.
