      1. nas said new york going to bring it back

and the rappers that arnt even rappers yet will bring it back

nas black thought and premo said it i think

new york is pretty good right

pro era and flatbush zombies are bringing it back

      2. Why yall makin it seem like its Trapshyt vs the 90s neway? Hiphop started in NY, Trap da grandson! wher da respec@

    7. This is dope, the beat was wack but I guess it proved the point, everybody killed it lyrically and the lineup is just classic. Everybody did they thing and it was dope to hear McGruff…… Good job yall, the OG’s are forming the aliance…….. UNITY!!!!!

    8. why are we stuck in the 90’s it 2000 motherfucking 14

its like hip hop starting devolving back when hip hop started lyrics were simple and got more complicated as it grew

now hip hop is 90 % whack and all the dope rappers are underground

    9. Bannana P and Nore are trash. There rhymes are wack man talking about vaporizer hand sanitizer gimme a break. Spit a better 16 than that garbage. Sound like that fruity tooty looty cam wack ass rap! Gimme Some Jay, X, Pun,Meth, and Red

    10. Hot Trash.

I grew with these guys, I own albums from almost all of them.
Its like watching 40 year old basketball players from the 90s trying to compete with the young ballers in the NBA now.

They had their time and are completely living off nostalgia

      1. co-sign. I always say these old rappers must retire. Its lame being 40 and saying your a pimp and hustler BUT those rappers today they really suck: wayne, 50 cent, the game, future, lil wack, young wack, lil fuck etc.

      2. wtf are you idiots talking about???, you can’t just leave the rap game after a few years, fucks wrong with you nerds?? the rap game is like the dope game, youre stuck in the same thing for LIFE

      3. mcing doesn’t have an ageb limit, you just have to accept that rap aint basket ball. its an intelligent grwn mans game, don’t let these corporate programmers mug you off and tell you different we speak deep wisdom

      4. Your mommas in her 60s yet she is still letting the 12 inbred fuckers next door run the train on her White tango trash ass.

    11. This old ass dudes smh give it up yeah u were fire once but it’s 2014 find something better to do. i guess it’s aimed at 40+ fans who are hanging on to they youth LAME!!!!!!!!!!

      1. If you believe what you wrote you should change your name! Name one current rapper that can out rap any of the dudes on this track

      2. Are you fuckin kidding me, did you just say Drake????, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH get the fuck out! Drake aint even a rapper, hes more like a hybrid r&b and Blues HAHAHAHA

    12. these 10 rapper songs are never hot! the beat corny as fuck the drums weak the snare lame, this is just a favor for kayslay

    13. Why listen to old rappers if you have;

      wayne
      drake
      future
      big sean
      meek mill
      tyga

These old school rappers cant fuck with them.

      1. stupid troll, at least name same decent new emcees like Kendrick or Earl. Big Sean is terrible. Tyga is one of the worst ever too.

      2. wow – you listen to true garbage. is that really your list of good rappers? you need to expand your audio file. this is pathetic. no wonder so many people mis construe what good rap music is today.

    14. The sample is hot the drums is horrible but the verses where dope i just dont think this song would of fit in the 90’s that just my opnion

    15. That Prodigy verse could quite possibly be the worst verse i ever heard in the my life. Dude just talking into the mic without even ryhming. hiphop nerds need to get off the 90s dick for real…

    16. It’s sad that these young niggas have no clue what hip hop is. These stupid muthafukkas! Look at these muthafukkas hero’s lmao Drake a whiney bitch singing love songs all the fucking time. lil wayne? lmmfao when i was growing up crack heads was clowned not idolized lmmfao. Kendrick lamar? Big Sean? lmmfao bunch a fag rappers this that new skinny jeans and tiger print button up shirt movement! In my day hip hop ment something it was about struggle celebration life niggas had some shit to say! Nobody give a fuck bout your bitch with implants! Nobody give 2 fucks about that rented bent you in. We dont care how many bottles you pop! No wonder the youth is so fucked up…

      1. i wouldn’t even count kendrick on a real hip hop tip like i would AB-soul. Out of that whole crew, i think only Ab-Soul and Jay rock are the only ones who get it, but surprise! they dont market those guys because the don’t fall in line with this skinny jean era, so lets use kendrick because we can market him like a half hip hop half pop star to try and please both parties.

No such thing as halfway crooks. Kendrick makes one good song, then 2 pop sounding songs for his ratio. Once he focuses on hip hop fully and tries to make a classic album and not trying to please everybody, i will give dude ratings. You must be young if you think kendrick lamar doesn’t fall into the skinny jeans era of rap. He’s like a lupe fiasco kanye west (trying to appear intelligent when the masses haven’t heard other rappers who are actually intelligent, say the same things 10-20 years ago. but those rappers cannot see the light of day because they get too political)

if you think “k.dot” is nice my yout, listen to:

        mos def
        talib kweli
        immortal technique
        dead prez
        jedi mind tricks
        non phixion
        the old nas
        public enemy
        Ab-soul
        some 2pac
        newer cannibus (melatonin majik)
        pharoahe monch
        the roots

these guys all spit the truth and that’s just the tip of the iceberg bro. there are way more rappers that kick knowledge than that, im just using those as an example to compare what they rap about and what kendrick or these new rappers rap about

        K.Dot? lol

*i like good kid maad city, dont get me wrong, but that was overrated for no reason, dude’s not that nice

    17. Love the Collabo and Lyrics but that beat was horrible! Youngins remember this, the beat helps tell the story! This should have been a click track! Somebody remix it please!

      1. right??? how the fuk did nobody call em out on that?
how you gon make a song called 90’s flow, without flowin like you in the 90s.
        hook is wack

    18. i was sooooo hype when i saw this track.

but then i heard the beat, the hook, then gave it a 3 out of 5 because of the verses alone. disappointing…

I think bad beats are the biggest problem in hip hop. the standard has dropped so hard. only producers who get it in consistently and always have beats out are:

      Alchemist
      Madlib
      Nottz
      Neptunes
      Jake One
      Scram Jones
      OH NO
      DJ Khalil
      Evidence
      Roc Marciano

Either all of the other good producers are shit now (rza,dr.dre, havoc etc) or don’t drop enough material consistently anymore (dj. premier, large professor, pete rock, dj quik etc.)

Once the beats start sounding like real instruments again, i think we will be fine. Until then, stuck with this electronic sounding MPC shit.

You can all disagree with me, but music sounded a lot better when the SP-1200 was the weapon of choice for making beats.

      1. me too, but i also prefer good beats over weak beats. are you trying to say that the beats of today are better now than before when they were predominately sampled? only people who got better not sampling were J DILLA and ALCHEMIST (Dj Quik and Nottz are pretty good with it too but not better than they were when they were sampling with the sp-1200).

Crate digging is a part of the craft as well. you learn a lot about different kinds of music at the same time and you are purchasing these artists material as well. nowadays there is no research, no ear for real instruments, no connection to the roots of hip hop (which includes other genre’s of music too). that’s why its lost its soul and hip hop sounds electronic and pop like. every other genre of music has kept the instrumental aspect to it except for hip hop. “the roots” group is hip hop in its truest form because they actually play their instruments and have a lead rapper, but we are getting further from this everyday in hop hop because the people who control it (some grimey jews, but there are good ones like dru ha, and steve rifkind and such) are just destroying and milking our culture.

hopefully people just wake up and see what’s going on.
