    1. DABBB!!!!! Dope son still got the gift….. The production is dope….. THE GREATEST TO EVER TOUCH THE MIC.

    2. Horrible track. This album is going to be Street’s Disciple reloaded on one disc. Nigga should’ve called it quits after Stillmatic. Premo, RZA, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, Apollo Brown and Kanye could hand him a tape full of their best beats ever and this clown would still pick a shitty, generic Remi beat and rap over it with the most boring flow he can think of. Nigga’s career is officially over.

      1. This is a classic track. Dude you have Nas wrong with this one. The beat and lyrics are nice.

      2. Well I guess you have not heard the other tracks that were leaked. Listen to them… then you know that at worse this album is going to be a Gods Son

      3. *yawn* the Nas hate is just boring now, go back to Wayne and Drake and leave the proper classy good music to us people with a brain and an iq over 100.

    3. This shit is straight fire. Quality fuckin hip hop right here! Good golden era feel to it. (92-98)

    4. I’ve been playing this track nonstop since it got released yesterday. This is amazing, i never knew Amy’s voice was so pure. I hope this win’s a grammy for the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Thank you Nas!!

    5. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? WHY CANT THIS GUY STOP MAKING MUSIC? EVERYBODY HATE HIM, HES VERY OLD, HAS NEVER MADE A CLASSIC IN 20 YEARS, HIS ALBUMS FLOPS, HIS WIFE DUMPED HIS ASS, HES BROKE, OWES MILLIONS IN TAXES, CANNOT AFFORD CHILD SUPPORT, TRYING TO IT OFF OF AMY WINEHOUSE, HIS OWN FAMILY HATES HIM, SHOULD I GO ON?

      1. You are somewhere along the lines of an imbecile or a nuisance to society. You have no clue. You will probably vote for Romney or probably wont vote at all. Take charge of your life, Im sure youve heard that b4. Good luck.

      2. wtf are you an idiot?? He hasn’t made a classic in 20 years?? He dropped Illmatic (a classic!) in 1994 so he dropped all his classics in the last 20 years.

You really are a dumb ass if you honestly believe what you just said..

    6. real good song, i like all the songs from life is good that are released, hopefeli this will be a classic.

    7. it’s average for nas. nothing to get crazy over. other tracks were better, still excited for the album. he won’t top stillmatic or god’s son though. think this album will be in the hip hop is dead range qualitywise.

    8. Good song. Though it almost sounds like a very sad song when you hear amy on it. I wonder if this is what they were doing before Nas and her did that birthday bash before she died. Still its good to hear her voice.

    9. NAS IS A HAS BEEN,TRYING TO EAT OFF OF AMY WINEHOUSE LEFTOVERS, GETTING MY NIGGA ROSS TO REVIVE HIS CAREER, KILLED BY NICKI MINAJ STRAIGHT UP, HIS FANS DESERTED HIM, HAS NO GIRLFRIEND, HIS CHILD HATES HIM, KILLED ON A BATTLE BY JAY Z, KELLIS DUMPED HIS BROKE ASS, HAD THE WORST VERSE ON THA CARTER IV, TRYING TO RIDE WITH MMG TO GET SOME SHINE, PEOPLE HATE HIM, HIS LIFE SUCKS, HES GOING TO JAIL FOR DEFRAUDING GOVERNMENT IN TAXES, HES LONELY, PEOPLE DONT BUY HIS MUSIC, HAS A MOLE, HES UGLY, WEEZY IS SEXIER THAN HIM, NOBODY LISTINS TO HIS TRASHY SHITTY MUSIC, CANNOT SELL FOR SHIT, TRYING TO GET A CONTRACT WITH YMCMB, HAS NO GIRLFRIEND, JAY Z IS RICHER THAN HIM, LIL WAYNE IS RICHER THAN HIM………THIS GUY IS JUST A PLAIN STRAIGHT LOSER

      1. Yet again… You are somewhere along the lines of an imbecile or a nuisance to society. You have no clue. You will probably vote for Romney or probably wont vote at all. Take charge of your life, Im sure youve heard that b4. Good luck.

      2. @GQ, I THINK NAS IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD TAKE CHARGE OF HIS LIFE, I MEAN HOW LOW CAN YOU SINK? DUDE DEFRAUDED GOVERNMENT ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL THE FEDS KICK DOOR OF HIS SMALL ASS HOUSE

    10. I’ve been listening to Hiphop since 89 and have seen the transition from lyricists being creative, from so-called black folk coming into the industry just to make money fast. I always read comments from ignorant people on this site who claim they have a clue about music and the hiphop culture. I would hear dumb statements saying Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Drake and other people who are being controlled by the majors with no creative ability and self-destructive content. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but your basing today’s rappers to yesterday’s lyricists over who sells the most records, then it’s obvious you haven’t a clue. People like Lil Wayne made a decision that they wanted to get in the game initially to make money and the fame with lyrical content being secondary to them. If any rapper has that approach when it comes to music, then they will never be lyrically talented. Just because Britney spears goes platinum does it means she’s a good singer? Only an ignorant person can tell me different.

      1. Just because Britney spears goes platinum does it means she’s a good singer?

        hahah nice

        hiphop?
check out my shit on youtube

        D-Maths SuperStarShit. peace

      2. Obviously sales is a terrible indicator of musical skill or quality, and obviously fan support seems to be misplaced in this day and age. But to look at the state of the mainstream and the failure of the public to direct their support in the right directions (quality current hip hop and fantastic old school hip hop), and then to deduce that hip hop is failing as a genre is simply misguided.

Your failure to recognize the brilliance of many of today’s musicians is just as troubling as the failure of the young consumer public to recognize the brilliance of the old school. Even in the mainstream there is quality. Drake, for instance, is a far cry from the musicians of the 80’s and 90’s, but his music is tragically under-appreciated by the old school traditionalists. Kanye, also, has done so much to transform the state of hip hop from a closed minded, rigidly structured genre to an open, creative movement. And, if you can move past your inhibitions and take a hard look at the incredible, but less appreciated music being made by so many youngn’s, you’ll see that there is as much if not more material as there ever was. Acts like A.dD+ and Big KRIT are resurrecting the south with their own sounds, while acts like Das Racist, Shabazz Palaces, Action Bronson, and El-P are doing their own thing altogether. If not simply for Kanye, the democratizing effects of the internet and the general collapse of the music industry appears to have instigated a revolution in hip hop that is at least as fascinating as the Golden Era itself.

Of course, we should never forget or stop appreciating the brilliant musicianship of the previous eras in hip hop, but to ignore the current trends is equally if not more pathetic than a breach of the former.

      3. Bradzuk! There is no point trying to debate with me if your comment is going to be void. I didn’t say there wasn’t good artists in today’s era, but if your going to bring rappers into this convo, which isn’t even musically or lyrically up to par, then your wasting your time. As i’ve been listening to music of all genres from when i was born up until now. I’m not going to consider a lot of comments on here. As 80% of the people listen to what’s popular. So, if it’s not popular, doesn’t mean it doesn’t sound good. All those newskool artists you’ve mentioned are popular. It’s all about the artform and message, which is being delivered.

    11. wuddup its ya boi icy back up in that ass! aight yall know i gotta do me, so please respect my hustle when i say this some lame ass garbage. how can yall honestly say nas teh goat? the beat whack, amy whinehouse sounds like she on crack and nas has one of the worst flows ever. word to god. yall want some real hip hop education go to teh audio section. listen to souljah boy, waka and game song! thats teh definition of REAL HIP HOP. yall got soem superstar MC’s a dope ass beat and catchy chours! aight nas a punk! simlpe as that.

      1. Hey its the dick riding young cocksucker crew. How are ya’ll doing today. Heads up everyone young money groupies are on the board again. XD

    12. this ain’t all that, nas has too many yes-men and dickriders. he needs critique to bring out the best in him and come back with something along the lines of stillmatic.

    13. Nas keep releasin weak songs. dis nigga is done. his last good album is fom 1994. lmao…. and I dont even like dat album. Illmatic is overrated as hell. Nas shud reatire. nobody listen to Nas anymore. old ass niggas. smh. swag

      1. go fuck ur u fucking troll im gonna find your ip address and track u down and after that ur sister is mine hahahahaha

    14. Great Track. Something different. Really Can’t wait for the album. Best hip hop album of the year and Nothing Else. Nas is the G.O.A.T. His Legacy should never be insulted. All you haters don’t appreciate good music. Peace

    15. Damn this shit is NICE! I promised myself not to get carried away with how good I think the album is gonna be but listening to the singles, the leaks & the snippets I 100% believe it’s gonna at least be 4.5/5

    16. it’s official.. THIS ALBUM IS A FUCKIN’ CLASSIC.. haters can kill themselves.. support the king July 17th!

    17. WOW… AT THIS POINT I AHVE REALIZED THAT WHEN I SEE DUMB FUCKS RUN THEIR MOUTH ON HERE U JUS HAVE TO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM AND THEIR “N-IGNO-RANTS” AND IGNORE THEM ALL. I WANNA THANK HIPHOPDX FOR ALLOWING THOSE WITH WISDOM TO SPEAK THEIR MINDS AND STILL ALLOW THE ABSENT MINDED TO FEEL AS IF THEIR DUMB ASSES MATTER. ITS PRETTY THOUGHTFUL ACTUALLY. A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED…

    18. Hope the rest of the album have the same quality as Cherry Wine, Loco-Motive, Daughters.

    20. Nasir a true story teller with the best flow in HIP HOP

Rest in peace Amy. her voice had so much soal..

      1. Don’t get it twisted Nas has a great flow but probably ain’t the top 20… Amy has so much soal? what’s soal?

      2. aww look at the “anonymous” 12 year olds [meanin how long u been listening to hiphop {if that} and ur mentality] tryna talk abt “flow” and usin words like “flower” u fucks… lol… embarrassing to the culture that fools like u support it… u wouldn kno wtf flow was if it was in yo mamas bed tea baggin her ugly ass. jus stop.. stop.. stop listenin to hiphop and rap music til u learn WTF is goin on u slow sorry excuse for human beings… folks these are the examples of who dropped outta 5th grade and turn wanna be ganstas in the suburbs and think they knew what “hiphop” was since they heard eminem and A$AP rocky lol haaaaaaaaaa… its not their fault…

      3. ^^ Look at this faggot catching feelings because his superhero has been a subject of criticism. God damn, you Nas stans are a disgusting, bizarre group of over-sensitive, people with bitch-tendencies. One of Nas’ greatest issues is his one-dimensional flow. Even Rick Ross was able to vocally destroy him. No need to talk about the huge difference between his, AZ’s and Damian Marley’s vocal presence. Royce Da 5’9”, Crooked I, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Busta Rhymes, AZ, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Percee P, Shad K, Ghostface Killah, iCon The Mic King, Eminem, Apathy, Kool G Rap, Black Thought, Method Man, these are rappers with GREAT flows, but Nas with his supertiring, never changing, unadaptable, undeveloped skill you annoying ass cocksuckers call ”flow”??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Kill yourself before you get a heart attack the next time you read something remotely negative about your jerk off model.

    21. Dang this is realll chill. Love Amy on this and love her music in general. Nas owning Hip Hop and can sit back to rap on a smooth one like this with ease. 5 stars all the way.

    22. She was such a natural…her death went under the radar. She was a once in a generation caliber singer. I love the last two songs I heard on this album. Actually, other than that song with Rick Ross everything sounds pretty damn good.

    23. This joint is crazy dope…. I can’t stop banging this joint. I can’t wait for life is good drop…… We got another illmatic on our hands…. Classic!!!!!!!!

    24. This album might be one of the best things Nas will ever release, it has already surpassed Nastrudamus, Untitled, Streets Disciple AND GODS SON.

A LOT OF IT HAS TO DO WITH THIS FUCKIN TRACK. ITS I SO FUCKING AWESOME, WHY DO THE BEST ALWAYS DIE YOUNG?!

    26. i think this album will be up to par as it was written if not illmatic! its already screaming 5 mics!

    27. Really relaxed and chill feel to this song, Nas is easily the best rapper alive and this album seems to be a classic.

      1. nothing about this album will be anything close to classic. nas is a sellout and a culture thief.

    28. Nas = elite MC. Not many of those around anymore. Let’s appreciate him while he’s still around. Life is Good 7/17

    29. this is smooth i could bump this on the greyhound looking at the window and enjoy it.

nas you still that nigga i dont know why 90’s niggas makes tracks like this but new school can’t follow suit so there nothing good to listen to.

although i really dont think his life is good he is trying to will his words into existence thats pretty smart.

    30. i read the lyrics to this song on rap genius the first verse tears me up. the first verse proofs this dude is really a walking breathing genius. and i thought i was smart

      1. you sound like you never read a book. ever seen a nas interview? lmao. dude is stupid as fuck.

    31. how do yall go from having mixed reviews about the don, daughters, and accident muderers, to calling an album a classic after hearing this one song and some snippets? yall are green ass music listeners. fucking amateur hour.

      1. Correct me if I’m wrong but all of those tracks got very high ratings on this site and critics alike so where exactly are you getting these “mixed reviews” from? I for one have loved every track I’ve heard so far.

      2. nas stans are by far the most disgusting people on the planet. calling him the goat after the hell he was catching around the new millienium.

    32. Everyone,

Go to the stores and actually BUY the album. We all need to cop this record and pay for it for him. This is gonna be one of his best records in a long time and we all need to pay for it.

      1. no. music free on the internet. thats why ur broke homie, being stupid and choosing to spend your money on free shit

      2. /\ And thats why you get the trash you get on the tv/radio. Support the artists you like by buying their album.

    33. Havent heard a weak song from the album yet. I think Im one of the few commenters that bought a physical copy of The N as well this when it drops.

    34. Nasty,Daughters, Tha Don, Locomotive, Accident Murderers, Reach out, Cherry Wine…. all 4.5 to 5 tracks

      Life is Good. July 17

    35. im going to get a bottle of cherry wine after hearing this song. Life is good 17th July…..

    36. All these tracks sound so focused and well produced, the snippets are very promising, I think it might actually happen, we might just get a NaS album that lives up to the hype in the 21st century.

    37. Wow Nas is the best ever. As for Amy, she was a soulful chick. R.I.P. 5stars. can’t wait for the album!!!

    38. jay z – $450mil, 14 grammys, 5 classic albums

nas – $6mil in debt, 0 grammys, ONE classic album over 19 yrs, and signed up 2 def jam, no hit songs since 2006

      end of story

      1. Actually, Nas has multiple grammies from illmatic, It Was Written, IN WHICH he illustrated in HATE ME NOW! Listen to the lyrics man – I can’t believe how dumb down these people are when it comes to knowledge and substance over the every day garbage. He also has a joint Grammy with Jr Gong, Damian Marley.

      2. @AI.. Get your facts straight he has NO grammies

      4. Jay >>>>>>>>>>>> Nas.

Grammy Family Freestyle SHITS on yall dumb fucks who accuse Jay of having no substance.

      5. @ TRUTH. GTFOH with that shit I’m Jay-z’s biggest fan and love Nas. This song is dope and Nas has more than 1 classic, Illmatic, It was written, Iam, Stillmatic, and possibly Hip Hop is Dead. Nas may not have 450 but he is content with his life and is one of the greatest to ever do it. BTW his networth is 30mil which just fine. Something you will never see. Nas and Jay are two different people and two different types of artist

      6. FUCK outta here nicca- Haveing money does not mean that your the best rapper. maybe the best buisnessrapper. But when It comes to skill on the mic, you me and jay know that nas is the best. 5 albums? RD and Blueprint, He aint got shit on nas. Fuck outta here.

    39. 10 Years later and ‘Life Is Good’ will be Nas best album since ‘Gods Son’. Nas does get a lot of wack beats and had a lot of wack features and filler tracks on his last few albums. Looking forward to this, definitely looking like classic material.

      1. Ur opinion ignoramus? Looks like u just got tired of urself harping on abt d same old wack beats criticism. Wat wack features u talking abt?

    40. I saw Nas live in Manchester coupla weeks ago, he performed A Queens Story – trust me another Instant classic from the G.O.A.T

      1. Yeah, I was there and heard that tune too, look out for BROOKLYN STORY people, albums highlight!

    41. the user “W H O K N O W S” is a fag… anyone that has suttn negative to say really have no IQ level and are jus miserable they aint got no substance or doe in thei pocket… man up nigga. stfu if u aint got nothin productive to say… all u do is show ur ignorance.. fuck wax out ears nigga… spit them dick out ya mouf. BITCH.

life is good 7/1712!!! haters suck ya muthaz

      1. dude just take solace in the fact that only the people who know good music can appreciate nas like we can, have mercy on the ones who don’t get it

    45. Ehh could be better.Nas is in my top 20 rappers,I expect more from him though. He is Def one of the most overrated rappers of all time though.

      1. I think I’m on Nas’ homepage. The dickriding on here is absolutely unbelievable. People acting like he’s spitting ”Verbal Intercourse” esque verses everytime he opens his mouth. It’s disgusting.

      2. this is pretty simple lyricism yes, the main focus of this track is beat / chorus by Amy Winehouse.

    46. “I GET HIGH LIKE AMY WINEHOUSE,
I PUT PILLS IN AMY WINE’S MOUTH”
–JUICY J. FROM THE TRACK KELLY GREEN.

Did Juicy J force pills into Amy’s mouth which caused her overdose?
I certainly hope so LOL. REST IN PISS STUPID BITCH.

    47. Im upset u caught in to Amy late…damn shes great! Great song!!! I could just sip some wine and smoke my ganja while listening to this!

    48. Ha! The only thing I’ve heard that goes with the “Life Is Good” album title is Nas literally saying “Life is Good” at the end of this record. This is my 2nd or 3rd favorite so far.

      1. ok clearly you haven’t been listing this is the best shit we’ve heard from nas in a while.you can eat a brick, and o.d

    60. Classic track. Salaam delivers a gem, I like the way Nas and Remi let Amy play out the song with her beautiful vocals…stunningingly introspective verses from Nas, amazing song from the best hip hop album of the year, congratulations and thanks to Nasir for giving us another classic!
