      1. this is not classic shit you fucking dickrider. Nas came nice but the song is just fuicking weird. “classic” shut the fuck up.

      2. I guarentee none of you lames are even going to play this shit again. I’m tired of Some of you dudes try too hard. I’m tired of people trying to justify subpar music by labelling it as “different” or so “deep” that if you don’t like it you’re a hater or “don’t understand hip hop”. okay retard…

The funny thing is yall will never even play this song again.
Yall on some rappers’ dick so damn hard you refuse to call a spade a spade based on your own personal bias against certain kinds of rap.

You got dudes saying they had to listen 20 times. WTF? in other words forcing themselves to digest it, Who does that reallY? Only a dick rider. Any song that requires 20 listens for you to “like it” is not worth it. Yall just try too hard somtimes.

      3. @JEREMIAHTFTWW,

no, what that means is that it’s a track with lyrics so dope that it’s got you hittin the rewind button multiple times.. remember those? yea, they’re rare nowadays but appreciate them when they come around.

    1. Don’t confuse this with Nas. This is a Gil Scott-Heron track featuring Nas. Don’t get me wrong, this track is the shit, but this is exactly what rap needs right now: a kick in the fucking iced out chain. It’s gotten way too up its own ass and could use some new genre injections to freshen up the sound.

      1. It’s pretty clearly labeled “Gil Scott-Heron f. Nas” lol.
I agree with what you say though.

    2. Nas is on some different shit now days. He is still my favorite living rapper, but I have yet to decide on whether I’m with it or not.
      Remains to be seen.

    3. Nas proves once again why he’s the greatest in the real hip hop world…dumb fucks just wouldn’t understand…QUEENS!!!!!

    4. nas spit, as you would expect. but this beat is terribly weird and wack. no my friends this is not on the level of rewind, 2nd childhood, the world is yours etc. I know this ain’t his song. And We all know nas always comes hard but By no means is this a classic.

    5. serious ish, wat! nas still has it….very original & unique sound, nasir always tryin to push the envelope when it comes to creativity…

      1. This is not a Nas beat…some people are so dumb!!!!! But the beat is hot Gil Scott Heron song!!!!!

      2. cosign REALLY HIP HOP NEEDS MORE INTELLIGENT FANS!!!! lol,

this is a G.S. Heron song as is, that Nas spit ill verses over. and the song/beat is good

      3. I agree w/ the two above me (“really hip hop needs more intelligent fans!!!!” & NEGRO PLEASE).

    6. Yo this track took like 20 listens for me to realize just how dope it is.

Listen to the combination of Nas and Gil Scott-Heron’s lyrics. Nas’ metaphors about movie frames/fast life in NYC… Cab Calloway reference… the picture he paints of broke women watching shopping on TV… dude stepped up his lyric game, probably because it’s next to a legend like Gil Scott-Heron

The best rap lyricist getting better with time?? I think so…

      1. Nas never left that is for sure…the man is just so far ahead of his peers! On top of that he does not feel the need to over saturate the industry with dope lyrics just because he can! He is layed back! This is FIRE!

    7. I could almost see this on Distant Relatives. I know that can’t happen cuz it’s a G.S. Heron track of his new album.. but it could fit.

Get Gil Scott-Heron on Distant Relatives! let him mix it up with Damian and Nas! still got a month or so!

    8. hell yeah nas is the greatest ever and mixing it up with another legend like gil scott just creates a classic.

    9. Forty-five in my waist, starin at my reflection
In the mirror, sittin still in a chair like my conception
When everything around me got cloudy, the chair became a king’s throne
      My destiny found me
It was clear why the struggle was so painful
Metamorphosis, this is what I changed to
      And God, I’m so thankful
      -Nas

    10. Lyrics kool not feelin’ the “negro spiritual” or the beat made me feel like i was on the underground railroad or sum shyt… Harriet Tubman wouldve given this shyt 5 stars

      1. i kno gud muzik its not ignorance its a fact. jus cuz its nas doesnt make it great.. hell dr. dre can give soldier boy a beat that woudnt change the fact he sux.

      1. DOPE 2011AND ??=== i really dnt kare wtf u say dude okkay my opinion is my opinion so see face to face wi it !!!

    11. Nas is the best living rapper no doubt.

hopefully some young rapper will pick up where he leaves off, and get better than Nas, but until then he is the best to ever touch the mic

      1. Asshole this is not a Nas song it is gil Scott Heron! so obviously you don’t know what your talking about! haters are the worst!!!!!

    12. yea his flow was str8 but like someone below said ill never listen to it again.. plz stop with the “real hip hop/intelligent hip hop” b.s. ppl are not not listenin to the music you feelin bc they dont understand it, they can comprehend it just fine…its just not that good…thats it…a nice flow doesnt make a nice song but a bangin beat can make a hit…thats just the way it is….some rappers are great at mixin the two, just so happens that nas is not…great flow, average beats at best and thats the majority of the time…

      1. Asshole this is not a Nas song it is gil Scott Heron! so obviously you don’t know what your talking about! haters are the worst!!!!!

      2. Why you mad at the beat because your favorite rapper could not do it justice like Nas did? You haters say the same repetitive lines about Nas’ beat selection and not even realizing that this is not even a Nas song! Nigga Nas beats are just fine… you niggas complain about his beats but yet you rock to the WHACK ass lyrics of these non lyrical rappers! Nas is an artist and guess what you damn right his flow is lethal and his lyrics are ill and NO ONE does it better tha NASTY NAS!!!!!!!!!!

      3. Said it all!!!!! Jadakiss, Royce Da 5’9, Nas, Method Man.. Great Lyricist But Dont get bangers to often u gotta have the full pckg. lyrics, originality and beats y u think Pac Was the greatest. i luv nas but this fuckin song is Wackkkk!!!

    13. all you niggas are faggots whether or not you like that song you guys are still a bunch of dick pulling homosexuals who love to be e-thugs
