Slug is actually half black half native american. Other than that Aesop and El-p are very good friends and have very similar styles. I’m actually surprised you didn’t throw Sage Francis, Eyedea, or Adeem on there.
Having listened to them RA The Rugged Man was alright but his voice is nasally and get’s annoying fast. Apathy is sick. Other than that Cage was unimpressive at best. El-p’s production is amazing, and his lyricism is pretty impressive as well. Marshall Mathers LP was so good because it had perfect timing and was something nobody had seen yet, if that album were released now it wouldn’t be nearly as praised.
