The whole “Recovery” album wasn’t Eminem’s best, it was only mediocre compared to his past. I’m not a big fan of Lil’ Wayne, but I do own a couple of songs by him on my iPod. Sometimes he surprises me, and delivers pretty good lyrics. His verse on this song isn’t an example. Just Blaze’s production wasn’t that great either. When I first heard the song, I was surprised that Just Blaze had produced it. It didn’t sound like his other work, this upsetted me a bit. This song doesn’t deliver as much as it could have.
Define the word “FAIL” for me, because last time I checked the song was pretty succesful, lol
If your saying that just because you dont like it, thats kinda stupid, I could sit here and say Waynes “Lolli Pop” record was a fail to since I hated it, using your logic, but it wouldnt change the fact that the song was actually an EPIC WIN for him, lol
its so funny how like before the album came out everyone was like this song is classic but now that em is on top to the point of untouchability in terms of sales and just renown all of sudden u hear ppl sayin shit like recovery is mediocre when everyone was loving it when it first came out
Get it right cmon y’all quit this was definitely a classic and one of the best songs in em’s library
Who said it was classic?? I said it wasn’t his best work since the first time I heard the album. Compare the lyrics on “Recovery” to the lyrics of his past work, like “The Marshall Mathers LP” or “Encore”. “Recovery” doesn’t come anywhere near his past work (with an exception of “Relapse”). I’m not a hater, I just agree with the large sum of people that say, “this wasn’t Eminem’s best.”
Let me add this, though. Compared to the other music that was played on mainstream airwaves, Eminem was definitely better than all of the other junk they would play.
2 much negativity on this page, if you dont like the song hop off.. but the lyrics to this song crazy it still go hard after countless listens 5 stars… idk who kilt it foreal but fuck who kilt it just be glad that tehy both did they thang on it

People need to stop comparing Recovery to his past albums. No shit you’re not gunna get better than Marshall Mathers/Slim Shady LP or The Eminem Show (my personal favorite), there are little to no albums by ANY artist that can beat those records, not even the guy who made them. Stop comparing, take it, and rate it for what it is by itself not compared to something else.
Like Jay-Z said, “Niggas want my old shit, buy my old album!”
From readin comments all the time I see that Hip-Hop fans are impossible to please. When Em was on his “kill women do drugs” shit, you cried for him to grow up. Switched his style, and you cried for him to “get back to his old ways”. Puts out Relapse, and we hear cries that he’s too old to be like his old albums and to grow up. Recovery is a grown, mature, “let me tell you about what I been thru” album, yet it’s mediocre. Make up your minds lol.
i digg
They tore this beat to bits!!!!
Not a Wayne fan but cant fron on this song, they both did their thing on it
